Justice League’s Flash Get’s a Life-Sized LEGO Statue for SDCC 2017.

If there is one thing that attracts fans towards the LEGO Booth at SDCC other than the cool exclusives offered, are their brick-built, life-size replicas of our most favorite comic book superheroes. Last year, we saw the larger-than-life versions of MCU’s Captain America and Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman given the LEGO treatment, and this time around another superhero will be immortalized in brick form just in time of next week’s San Diego Comic Con. LEGO has announced via its social networking sites, that the Justice League’s cinematic version of the Flash (starred by Ezra Miller) will be heading its way to this year’s SDCC as its first big build statue.

According to Mashable, the sculpture was made at the LEGO Model Shop in Enfield, Connecticut under the helm of 23-year old master builder Mark Roe. Using LEGO’s cutting edge, proprietary brick-building software and approximately 21,000 bricks, the Flash is ready to speed its way to San Diego next week.

The brick-built statue is glued using an adhesive that eventually melts the bricks together once they are in place, wrapped around a steel frame that acts as the build’s skeletal framework. This is definitely one build that can go at the speed of light without shattering into pieces.

We’ll keep our radars open and see if there will be another life-sized LEGO statue that will roll out from the LEGO model shop anytime soon. So stay tuned only here at the Brick Show! Images above are courtesy of Mashable.
