A few months ago, we reported that the German National Football Team, DFB (Deutscher Fussball-Bund) will get the LEGO treatment by having their very own LEGO Collectible Minifigure (CMF) Series. Today also marks the date of reveal of LEGO’s newest CMF, which will be introduced along with the members The Team. Thanks to Promobricks via the Brick Fan, we now have this first image of CMF 71014 and how it looks like.
As you can see from the photo, there are 15 players, including the goalkeeper, along with the coach Joachim Löw in a smart suit. In spite of the excellent details on the minifigures’ faces and varied hairstyles, it’s hard to tell as of now who among the DFB members are represented in the CMF series. What are certain though are the fine details on the torso and arms of these minifigs. As the Brick Fan pointed out, the Adidas logo is prominently seen on the upper right side of the torso which hints that LEGO may have entered into some kind of licensing agreement with the sports apparel company. The upper portions of the arms of the minifigs are also printed in line with the jersey look of the rest of the torso.
Just for fun, Robert8 over at the Eurobricks forum gave his best guess on who among the DFB Team will be represented. Here’s his take.
Other than these predictions, it was also mentioned by CM4Sci that each minifig polybag will contain 6 pieces – minifigure parts, stand, and a soccer ball. It was also mentioned that The Team CMF 71014 will be available beginning May 14 retailing at €2.99 (or $3.50), however, it is initially thought that 71014 will only be available in Germany.
We will give you the official announcement once it is available, so be sure to to stay tuned here at the Brick Show.
