In case you’re planning to add LEGO’s latest CMF, the LEGO DFB Die Mannschaft Collectible Minifigures (71014), to your prized collection of rare, hard to find minifigs, then the guys over at Bricks User Group of Singapore have some news for us. They managed to get their hands on a full box of this super exclusive straight from Europe, days ahead of its official release on May 14. Adding to the rarity of this set is the fact that it will only be released in Germany, Austria and Switzerland retailing at €2.99 (more than $3 dollars each). I am not an uber football fan myself, but knowing how exclusive these minigs are, its appeal is undeniable.

Similar to LEGO’s previous CMFs, there is the rare type, which only has 3 minifigs per box, uncommon that is 4 per box, and common that is 5 per box. Here’s a breakdown of how the LEGO DFB Die Die Mannschaft minifigures are distributed in the box as described by the Bricks User Group of Singapore via their Facebook page:

Rare (3 per box)

  • Joachim Löw (Coach)
  • Manuel Neuer (No.1)
  • Benedikt Höwedes (No.4)
  • Mats Hummels (No.5)
  • Jérôme Boateng (No.17)
  • Christoph Kramer (No.20)
  • Max Kruse (No.23)

Uncommon (4 per box)

  • Shkodran Mustafi (No.2)
  • Bastian Schweinsteiger (No.7)
  • Mesut Özil (No.8)
  • Thomas Müller (No.13)
  • Mario Götze (No.19)
  • Marco Reus (No.21)

Common (5 per box)

  • Sami Khedira (No.6)
  • André Schürrle (No.9)
  • Toni Kroos (No.18)

Each blind bag comes with a football element, except the one for Coach Low since he comes with a 2×2 clipboard element instead. This makes him the easiest to catch by feeling your way through. Obviously, feeling your way through each blind bag is short of impossible given the lack of variety among the pieces used for the other minifigs – we’ll definitely not expect any feel guides for this set. Given the above distribution, minifig collectors are guaranteed with 3 full sets of 16 for each box. However, due to its limited distribution, those who are raring to have the LEGO DFB minifigures may have a better chance over at eBay or to have someone personally purchase them in Europe starting May 14.

Thanks Hoth Bricks for the tip.
