Summer 2018 LEGO Ninjago Set Details Revealed.

Ok, I promise to be a bit moderate with these reveals (aka leaks) for now. After the reveal of the LEGO Ideas Ship in a Bottle (21313), the 2018 Summer LEGO Technic sets, and the uber cool LEGO Creator Roller Coaster (31084), here comes another collection of LEGO sets to watch out for in June, 2018. Frankly, this has been floating around the Internet for quite some time and thanks to various sources, we now have a somewhat better idea of what to expect from the Summer LEGO Ninjago Masters of Spinjitzu sets next year. Please pardon me for the deliberately horrendous blurred images; but if you’re already in the know, then I’m sure you wouldn’t mind seeing them like this.

Similar to the spinners which are essentially part of the LEGO Ninjago Masters of Spinjitzu theme, LEGO opted to have a rehash of these spinners and give them a dragon master twist. The box art for set numbers 70644 to 70649 seems to suggest that these spinners will somehow include a vertical flying play feature which is kind of cool for a LEGO set. Please take this with a pinch of salt since this is just my observation based on my initial impression on the design of the box art and in keeping up with the dragon storyline with LEGO Ninjago’s Season 9.

It is also interesting to note that the grayed out box for set 70657 is rumored to be another D2C LEGO Ninjago Movie set similar in scale to the grandiose LEGO Ninjago City (70620). Again, these are just speculations given set 70657’s predicted price point, however, things might be different once LEGO gives their official statement. Lastly, bear in mind that these are preliminary titles so chances are LEGO might revise the names of these sets as they see it fit.

    1. Wow! That is one heck of a pile of minifigs! Are you referring to the Ninjago City Docks?

    2. Uhh, I think they just greyed out the picture from the Ninjago City box, leaving only the minifig list at the bottom. You can tell because if you look closely, you can totally see Koko and Guy in there, both sporting the exact same outfits as in Ninjago City. Yep, I can totally see Koko’s orange hair and sand green top, plus I can also see, sticking out like a sore thumb, Guy’s pink jacket. And now that I look closer as I’m writing this, I think I can also just barely make out Lloyd’s blond hair. So yeah, it loks like they’re throwing us for a loop and reusing the “Confidential” image of Ninjago City as a place holder just to confuse people. Although, I have no doubt that this a companion set to Ninjago City, I’m just not sure it’s that big! Personally, when I visualize Ninjago City Docks, I think of this really short thing that’s basically a bunch of wooden docks with a connection point for connecting it to Ninjago City, with a whole bunch of light transparent blue tiles for water, (just like in Ninjago City), and maybe a couple little huts with some small to smallish-medium boats. By small to smallish-medium boats i mean smaller that the Ghost Ship from Stix, but bigger that that puny thing we got with Ninjago City, (that’s in finished build size, not parts count). So yeah, that’s what I visualize it being something similar to, either that, or something as big as Ninjago City that basically contains more shops, housing, features, etc. that add to Ninjago City thus completing a little modular section out of two corner sections, or maybe a corner and straight, that use that same sort of theme in which they’re basically two very large blocks of the same thing, (shops, housing, features, restaurants, curse my typing skills and spelling, etc.). But yeah, I’d say it’s one or the other! Hey, maybe it’ll even including a scaled down version of the movie version of Destiny’s Bounty! Oh well, hope you enjoyed this, 70657 is defiantly going to be huge! Rockatoa, Brickticks out!
