LEGO The Incredibles Video Game Announces Its First DLC

After Warner Bros. Interactive officially announced the arrival of its Disney Pixar inspired video game, it looks like the LEGO Incredibles 2 video game will be getting its very first downloadable content (DLC) at the same time the main game is released. Those who will opt to pre-order the digital version of the game will be treated with a FREE Parr Family Vacation Character Pack DLC currently available for the Xbox, Playstation and Steam (PC). We’re still waiting for Nintendo to confirm this DLC Character Pack for the Switch as of this posting, but I’m pretty sure they will also be including this one since it is not a console exclusive.

Here’s what we know so far about the Parr Family Vacation Character Pack as described on each platform’s online store.

Pre-order now and get early access to the Parr Family Vacation Character Pack! Experience the thrilling adventures of the Parr family as they conquer crime and family life through both Disney-Pixar films The Incredibles and The Incredibles 2, in a LEGO® world full of fun and humor.

Here’s a list of all the expected characters included with this DLC as shared by The Brick Fan.

  • Bob Parr (Vacation)
  • Helen Parr (Vacation)
  • Violet Parr (Vacation)
  • Dash Parr (Vacation)
  • JackJack Parr (Vacation)
  • Lucius Best (Vacation) aka Frozone

One particular point of contention that most veteran LEGO video games aficionados have regarding Incredibles 2  is the fact that the film itself does not necessarily offer much character development, and has a very limited roster of superhero characters. Unlike its hugely successful LEGO video game cousin, LEGO Marvel Superheroes 2, this Disney Pixar sequel is seen as not really a fertile ground to spawn new characters unlike the former’s massive collection of over 200+ in-game playable character. Well the truth is, it’s kind of too early to tell if that is really the case with Incredibles 2 so I will suspend my judgment for the time being until the game is out on June 15 alongside its cinematic release.
