2022 LEGO Winter Village – Icons Holiday Main Street (10308) Now Listed

Thanks to its core concept of building and assembling, LEGO has long been crossing into numerous and different niche hobbies. Model railroads? LEGO’s got many sets for that over the years. Their vehicle lines, particularly Technic, could go toe-to-toe with conventional plastic model kits. Even LEGO Botanical with its brick-built blossoms more than hold their own aesthetics-wise against artificial flowers. But the best work LEGO does is undoubtedly with model buildings, obviously. And with the approach of the 2022 Holiday season, their latest addition to the Winter Village set line is ready. In fact, LEGO Shop online has listed it.

Brickset tells us that the 2022 LEGO Icons (formerly Creator Expert) Winter Village set has finally been revealed. If you feel the previous Winter Village sets have been leaning too “residential” then take heart. The Icons Holiday Main Street (10308) is anything but. Build a busy commercial hub for your LEGO Winter Village with two storefronts and some public transportation. Nothing says “traditional” Christmas shopping like a trip to the toy store or music shop. Shoppers with grocery bags can then wait for the Main Street cable car on a roadside stop. And their wait won’t be boring with nearby mailbox, clock post and Christmas tree to liven things up.

Expect the Icons Winter Village Holiday Main Street (10308) to launch next month, October 7. Further product details down below:

LEGO Creator Expert Santa’s Visit (10293) Now Up at US LEGO Shop@Home

After making its debut via LEGO’s regional portal in Asia, LEGO has officially announced and listed this year’s seasonal winter village set. The LEGO Creator Expert Santa’s Visit (10293) is now up at LEGO Shop@Home in the US, slated to be available beginning next month, with early VIP access on September 16.

LEGO Creator Expert Santa's Visit (10293)

Coming in at 1,445 pieces this year’s winter village set puts the spotlight once again on the lengths that Santa will go through to add that holiday cheer to all that is expecting his visit. It was 2014 since we last saw him added to a LEGO Creator Expert winter village set in the form of Santa’s Workshop (10245), so it’s great to see a LEGO model that is built around his character.

And of course, the model itself is perfect for a seasonal display piece and will look great with other winter village sets that you might have. The angled build is really clever since it gives the model a sort of depth and a certain degree of realism. I love the combination of white and light royal blue for its exterior, and the tons of holiday details in the interior. The set comes with four minifigures featuring Dad, Mom, a little girl, and Santa.

The LEGO Elf Club House (10275) Is This Year’s Winter Village Set

Following the unofficial reveal of the LEGO Star Wars Mos Eisley Cantina (75290) earlier today, the LEGO South Korea Facebook page also shared another upcoming LEGO 18+ set that marks our next set in the Winter Village series. The LEGO Elf Club House (10275) is this year’s seasonal LEGO Creator Expert Winter Village set, now relabeled as a LEGO 18+ offering.

10275

Though the post was removed already by the LEGO South Korea social media team, excited LEGO fans were quick to take notice of it. From what we can learn from the above image is that the LEGO Elf Club House (10275) comes in 1,197 pieces including four elf minifigures and what seems to be a new and exclusive reindeer figure. It also comes with other mini builds that add fun and personality to this magical hangout such as a piano, a ship, a Christmas tree, and that pretty neat sleigh. What stands out the most, in my opinion, is that nice retro looking CRT screen. It’s hard to figure out if it is used as an old PC or a cash register in this context. But whatever is the case, I like the idea of seeing it beside my LEGO CMF Series 19 Computer Programmer (71025).

It is also interesting to note that this is the second time that LEGO will be releasing a Winter Village set that places the limelight on Santa’s hard-working helpers. It was back in 2014 when we last saw them on a similar LEGO set such as this in the form of the LEGO Creator Expert Santa’s Workshop (10245). I like the idea that after a hard day’s work, our Christmas elves get to chill out and rest in their very own clubhouse. I’m not quite sure if the elves in the upcoming LEGO Elf Club House will be a re-issue or will feature a different design as compared from that of six years ago. However, it seems to be clear that they will all be featuring a green upper torso in contrast to the varied colors offered in Santa’s Workshop (10245) set.

10245 1
Santa’s trusted helpers are seen here hard at work in 2014’s LEGO Creator Expert Santa’s Workshop (10245). And for this year, LEGO is giving them the pampering that they deserve in the upcoming  LEGO Elf Club House (10275).

We do not have the pricing for this set as of this posting. However, given the Elf Club House’s piece count, we can assume that it will be around the same price range of $99.99. And since this direct-to-consumer set is expected to arrive in LEGO brand stores by September 23, we can expect an official announcement from LEGO anytime soon.

Thanks again to Dylan Chow for the tip.

The LEGO Creator Expert Winter Village Station (10259) and Winter Holiday Train (10254) Available Again at LEGO Shop@Home

In case you missed out on these, the LEGO Creator Expert Winter Village Station (10259) and Winter Holiday Train (10254) are both listed again for sale at LEGO Shop@Home. Released in 2017 and 2016 respectively, it is rather unusual for LEGO to offer a Winter Village set that has been released two years ago. However, due to the positive reception of LEGO fans for these two sets since they ideally go together to create one complete Winter Village track system, LEGO decided to offer them again.

UPDATE: As of this posting, the Winter Village Station (10259) is now on Backorder at shop.LEGO.com.

So if you missed out on these two lovely LEGO Winter Village sets from two years ago, be sure to check them out at LEGO’s official shopping portals (and stay away from the fake ones) by simply clicking these links below.

LEGO Creator Expert Winter Village Fire Station (10263) Finally Confirmed

Sometimes you can’t help but wonder if LEGO purposely reveals details of a set to one of its national markets alone, leaving other countries to pick up on it themselves before they make an official announcement later. How many times already did we learn about new sets because of a store flyer or product sighting anywhere from Europe to Korea? As August came to an end, we were treated to teaser details for this year’s LEGO Creator Expert Winter Village. The red telephone close-up hints at an emergency response office. Good guess! A LEGO store flyer from Italy now confirms that this year’s winter village D2C set is the LEGO Creator Expert Winter Village Fire Station (10263)

LEGO Creator Expert Winter Village Fire Station (10263)

According to the flyer, 2018 will see us getting the LEGO Creator Expert Winter Village Fire Station (10263). Well, just because a village is covered in snow doesn’t mean fires won’t break out. This upcoming set is a realistic addition for an ever-expanding brick-built village.

Now that we know the set’s name, all that’s left is the eventual reveal scheduled to be on September 9, with its availability slated by October 1. As you can tell from the numbering too, this comes right after the LEGO Creator Expert Aston Martin DB5 (10262). The Winter Village Fire station joins the ranks of previous holiday-themed, advanced models sets such as last year’s Winter Village Station (10259)Winter Village Market (10235)Santa’s Workshop (10245)Winter Toy Shop (10249), and the Winter Holiday Train (10254).

Thanks also to Italian LEGO news site Mattonito for sharing this tidbit to the world.

LEGO Teases on its 2018 Winter Village D2C Set

It’s that time of the year again when we excitedly count the days leading to Christmas, and what better way for LEGO fans to celebrate the occasion than to have our hands busy once more with LEGO’s next Winter Village offering. This particular LEGO Creator Expert holiday subtheme began in 2009 and has been growing steadily ever since, with each set adding seamlessly to the previous one. In fact, for two consecutive years, this particular subtheme saw a Winter Village Station (10259) and a Winter Holiday Train (10254) set that animated this humble winter village. This time, thanks to a teaser released by LEGO News, we now have a glimpse of what the next LEGO Winter Village D2C set will be. There was no specific mention of what this is, except for some close up shots of particular sections of the set.

winter village teaser 2

winter village teaser 3

winter village teaser 4

The teaser featured some of the most common elements in a LEGO Winter Village set such as a Christmas Tree, a micro-scaled snowman, and a lamp-post. However, what is most interesting is the last teaser image that LEGO News has shared. The red telephone is quite telling, hinting on the fact that this could be part of any particular office or establishment that respond to emergency situations. Some LEGO fans even suggest that it may even be a fire station of some sorts inside the winter village. The good thing though is that this year’s LEGO Winter Village D2C set is slated to be revealed on September 9, so we’ll keep our eyes and radars open for that. Be sure to stay tuned here in our blog site for more LEGO updates.
