As you may have known already, the LEGO Disney Frozen 2 sets are currently available at LEGO Shop@Home alongside the release of the new LEGO Star Wars merchandise for Triple Force Friday. If you’re a LEGO Disney fan, then you’ll be glad to know that LEGO has thrown in a new gift-with-purchase (GWP) set for qualifying purchases of these new LEGO Disney sets. LEGO’s online store has added to its image cache the LEGO Disney Frozen 2 Olaf’s Traveling Sleigh (40361) which you can find below.
For those familiar with this LEGO Disney subtheme, the first thing that is noticeable about this GWP set is the inclusion of the newer minidoll version of Olaf that only comes in two particular LEGO Disney Frozen 2 sets: Enchanted Tree House (41164) and Anna’s Canoe Expedition (41165). So if you’re a fan of the comical snowman, then having this freebie added to your cart is a great incentive to get this new LEGO Disney sets.
Olaf’s Traveling Sleigh (40361) comes in at 97 pieces and also includes a mini sleigh, a small buildable Christmas tree and gift, lamp, and a storage box to place Olaf’s skiing accessories. I don’t see it yet on my shopping cart via LEGO Shop@Home, but since the set’s images have already been added to the online store’s database, then I guess it will just be a matter of time before you see this freebie listed. News along the brick pipes a few weeks ago made mention of another pair of LEGO BrickHeadz Star Wars set that ties up with the epic conclusion of the Skywalker saga. In fact, the LEGO BrickHeadz Star Wars Kylo Ren & Sith Trooper (75232) dual pack were even spotted on some store shelves early in September – almost a month before its scheduled debut for Triple Force Friday.
For those who were not fortunate enough to catch this set in September, then you might be pleased to know that LEGO Shop@Home has already listed the Kylo Ren and Sith Trooper (75232) dual pack and is available for purchase for $19.99 USD. A new LEGO Speed Champions set that will debut in the first quarter of 2020 has just been revealed. The LEGO Speed Champions Formula E Panasonic Jaguar Racing GEN2 Car & Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY (76898) is a dual-pack set that features two of Jaguar’s latest innovation in electric vehicle technology in partnership with the Panasonic Jaguar Racing team. The LEGO Speed Champions reveal also coincide with the latter’s announcement of their new Formula E I-TYPE 4 race car, while the Jaguar I-PACE underscores the company’s latest all-electric SUV to be marketed to the public in direct competition with Tesla’s Model X.
According to a report from The Brothers Brick, this latest new LEGO Speed Champions set will feature a first-ever 8-stud wide design for the series which significantly improves the design and model accuracy of the theme. All Speed Champions sets as of to date follow a 6-stud wide design which makes them look narrower as compared to their real-life counterparts. This new design also allows for the creation of a new LEGO element – such as a huge 6×12 modified plate – to accommodate the adjustment in size. This also allows two minifigures (in the case of the I-PACE brick model) to be seated in front for a more realistic brick rendition. Other new elements also include 3×2 wedge plates and 6-stud wide windscreen.
Looking at the set’s box art, I can say that the new 8-stud design is a significant improvement in the LEGO Speed Champions series. It introduces a new length-to-width ratio that comes closer to how these LEGO versions accurately represent their real-life vehicle counterparts. I just hope that this will be the same for all upcoming Speed Champions sets in 2020.
There are no details yet as of the moment regarding this new LEGO Speed Champions set’s piece count and retail price, but we can expect more info and additional images to be revealed in the coming weeks. Special treats will be given to those who will participate on a first-come, first-served basis.
October 16: Visit Your Local LEGO Store to Build a UFO
Visit your local LEGO Store to build and take home a UFO minibuild. Same as with LEGO’s previous monthly minibuilds, this building event has limited space and registration is required. In-store signups start on October 3 and are intended for children ages 6 to 14 only.
October 4-November 3: Red Squadron Vs Blue Squadron
Come into your local LEGO store to decode hidden building instructions using a pair of special glasses. Build your ship as fast as you can and race your siblings, a parent, or new friends. This experience is intended for all ages, and no registration is required. Do take note that this in-store experience may not be available in all LEGO Store locations.

A few weeks ago, we reported some bit of smoke coming from the rumor mill that a LEGO DC Comics Superheroes CMF is somewhat on its way. Truth be told, the news of such a possibility has been floating around for quite some time. And not until earlier today that evidence of such a rumor has actually been corroborated, well, from unofficial channels.
A quick #legoleaks search over at Instagram will show you that some images of these purported CMF series have already been released. Like before, we are not in liberty to show you these images here on our blog site, but if you don’t mind some spoilers, then I suggest that you read on.
As of press time, we can confirm that 7 from these LEGO DC Comics Superheroes CMF has already been revealed which seems to include a collection of comic book characters that represent both classic and contemporary versions of well-known DC heroes and villains. Considering that this upcoming LEGO CMF series is slated to be released early in 2020, then we can expect more images (aka leaks) to be out in the upcoming weeks.

They’re impressive actually, and I’m excited to see the rest of the DC characters that LEGO added to this latest CMF. We already have the LEGO Batman Movie CMF Series 1 and Series 2 which in themselves have introduced a fair number of DC characters in LEGO minifig form. So having a new CMF line that is entirely dedicated to DC Comics is a welcomed move that will expand our collection of LEGO DC superheroes minifigures. An interesting piece of news came out this morning, and it’s telling us that LEGO is adding another licensed set in its portfolio. To begin with, LEGO is no stranger in the automotive field with an impressive list of LEGO Technic sets that highlight the most sophisticated vehicles around such as the upcomingLEGO Technic Land Rover Defender (42110) and the superbly elegant Bugatti Chiron (42083). From the looks of it, LEGO is pushing the envelope once more by partnering with one of television’s longest-running, and high-adrenalin motoring entertainment program. BBC Studios just published a press release earlier today underscoring the venture that the British TV company and The LEGO Group will jointly undertake. Based on one of its highly popular series, BBC’s Top Gear will now have a LEGO set of its own, a LEGO Technic Top Gear set to be exact. According to License Global, this collaborative set is expected to launch in early 2020.
Details about this new set are understandably scant as of this time, but from what we can glean from the press release, this LEGO Technic Top Gear set will definitely feature a distinctive, action-packed model that is reflective of the show’s fast-paced and stunt-filled sequences. There is no exact date given on when this set will be released, but we can somehow expect it to be officially revealed during the first quarter of 2020. BBC STUDIOS, LEGO GROUP SPEED OFF WITH ‘TOP GEAR’ SET
New deal will see the creation of a LEGO Technic set inspired by the series.
BBC Studios has signed a deal with The LEGO Group to launch the first-ever LEGO Technic set inspired by the series “Top Gear.”
The set will be geared for children, ages 9 and above. It will launch globally in early 2020. As a Technic set, it will provide a more-challenging build and include real-life functionality designed after its real-world car counterparts.
“We are extremely excited to have partnered with LEGO Technic,” says Jason Easy, head, licensing, U.K., BBC Studios. “Both brands enjoy a very close relationship with their fans; it’s certainly a natural fit for both, and we’re really looking forward to seeing the LEGO Technic set hit the shelves next year.”
“Top Gear” is one of television’s longest-running motoring entertainment shows, spanning 42 years. It has a following of an estimated 350 million viewers globally, across 200-plus territories, making it one of the world’s most widely watched factual TV programs. The latest series of show features Andrew “Freddie” Flintoff, Paddy McGuinness and Chris Harris as they explore car culture in the U.K. and abroad.
In the licensing world, “Top Gear” previously partnered with Assured Products.
