New LEGO Duplo 2022 Sets Coming August 1, Now Listed on LEGO.com

The start of a new year and the holiday season are both primetime launch periods for LEGO sets. It’s the same deal for the beginning of summer, which falls smack-dab in the middle of the year. Specifically, that would be anytime from May to August if dividing a year into three. Already this week we’ve been getting word of the many LEGO sets making their debut on June 1. The reveals have been for all ages as expected. Speaking of ages, that rating would apply to the youngest builders too. So of course we’re getting new LEGO Duplo 2022 products headed our way.

Promobricks would have it that no less than nine Duplo sets are due to launch in mid-2022. According to them, this wave of new LEGO Duplo 2022 products also boasts a new color scheme for their box packaging. Now the new primary coloring has changed from green to white. In our opinion, the color change works great as it gives a “clean” look. One can also notice a common theme in the upcoming Duplo. Save for one set from early-age Marvel animation “Spidey and his Amazing Friends,” the rest feature animals. Duplo really rocks at depicting brick-buildable animals, as these LEGO.com listings show:

New Duplo “Bath Time Fun” Sets Now Available

Giving very young children a bath can be one of the most challenging family tasks. Reasons may range from a youngster’s dislike of bathing, period, to their being unable to sit still while being washed. A long-effective means to make young-age bathing enjoyable has been the use of toys. Floating rubber duckies have been longtime all-ages bathtub companions for that reason. Not all toys can be used like so. LEGO bricks certainly won’t work; smaller pieces could easily disappear underwater. What about LEGO’s big little brother, Duplo? Judging from these newly-available sets, they could work.

According to Brick Fanatics, three bathing-themed Duplo sets are now available via LEGO.com online. All of them center on cute Duplo-brick animals that combine with flotation devices shaped like swim rings. These early-age builds are so buoyant that, as seen in the box art, they’ll keep afloat even when poured on. We’ve got an adorable variety of Duplo critters that kiddie builders can choose from. Each set comes with a tiny plastic bucket for them to load water to splash on their floating buddies. The price ranges are pretty chill too, depending on how many floating Duplo-animals you want for your child. Let’s see them:

LEGO Duplo: Bath Time Fun
Floating Red Panda (10964)

5 pieces | $9.99

  • Developmental bath time fun – LEGO® DUPLO® My First Bath Time Fun: Floating Red Panda (10964) provides playful learning opportunities, bath after bath
  • Easy-to-clean bath toy – The playset includes a red panda, bucket and a floating ring that opens up for easy cleaning
  • Build skills in the bathtub – Toddlers put 2 bricks together to make the panda, then place it in the floating ring for endless play opportunities

Floating Animal Train (10965)

14 pieces | $19.99

  • Buildable animals – The playset includes a hippo, duck and polar bear, a bucket, rain cloud and 3 floating rings that open up for quick and easy cleaning
  • Developmental fun – Toddlers put 2 bricks together to build each animal, then place them in the floating rings. The toddler-friendly rings connect, disconnect and bubble as they move through the water

Floating Animal Island (10966)

20 pieces | $39.99

  • Multipurpose bath toy – LEGO® DUPLO® My First Bath Time Fun: Floating Animal Island (10966) is a versatile, easy-to-clean playset featuring an island that doubles as a storage container
  • Build, play and learn – The playset includes a fish, octopus, lion and flamingo. A floating island splits into 2 separate floating sections, with the bottom half also allowing play outside the bath
  • Imaginative play – Toddlers put together the easy-build animals then have developmental fun on and around the floating island paradise

Here Are The LEGO 2021 Polybags To Watch Out For

Our brick-minded friends from Promobricks managed to round up several, crisp images of what I am personally looking forward to as a LEGO collector. And thankfully, we now have an idea of what we can expect for next year’s collection of LEGO 2021 polybags.

From the looks of it, it seems that each particular LEGO theme will once offer a new polybag – from home-grown themes to licensed ones, each of these LEGO 2021 polybags offers a mini-scale version of a particular set in its upcoming subtheme (like in the case of the new LEGO Ninjago and DOTS series) or expands your collection of useful LEGO pieces. Such is the case for the LEGO City Pop-Up Store (30569), considering the printed tile pieces that go with it.

They’re not usually listed over at LEGO Shop@Home, though you can find them in your local LEGO brand store and other third-party retailers as well.  Expect these polys to be around starting January and throughout the first quarter of 2021, retailing for $4.99. Which one of these will you pick up? Let us know in the comments below.

LEGO Duplo 2020 Sets Officially Revealed

Following wave, after wave of LEGO sets revealed during the past couple of days, LEGO makes sure that there is also something in store for our budding builders. LEGO servers were updated once more to include several images of LEGO Duplo 2020 sets, all slated to be released on January 1st of the next year.

These LEGO Duplo 2020 sets are a good mix of both generic and licensed themes which include characters from Disney franchises such as Marvel and Frozen 2. I also like how LEGO offers a varied number of sets based on real-world settings akin to LEGO City. It’s also nice to see a modular type of set included in this offering that offers a bit more challenge to younger builders.

You can check out these images of what to expect from these sets, together with their piece count and expected price in Euros courtest of Promobricks.
