A Round Up Of The Most Recent LEGO Dimensions Series 2 Packs That We Have Seen Yet.

With the recent celebration of Sonic’s 25th anniversary and the on-going awesome events of the San Diego Comic-Con, we now have some bits and pieces of information on the look and feel of some of the sets that are included in what was called as Wave 2 of LEGO Dimensions Series 2. Here’s a rundown of what we know so far from the various sources that we gathered.

LEGO Dimensions Marceline The Vampire Queen Fun Pack (71285)

As part of its Adventure Time series, LEGO Dimensions has partnered with Toys R Us to have the party rocking Marceline as an exclusive TRU offering which will be available on November 18, 2016. 71285 comes with a Marceline minifigure with her signature axe guitar and Lunatic Amp.

LEGO Dimensions Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them Story Pack (71253)

Just in time for the film’s theatrical debut this November, the next Story Pack in LEGO Dimensions Series 2 directly comes from the work of world-renowned writer J.K. Rowling. We first had a glimpse of how this Story Pack looks like through the latest Argos Catalogue from the UK. Similar to the Ghostbusters Story Pack, the Fantastic Beasts Story Pack 71253 allows you to play the movie in LEGO Dimensions. The set includes the Newt Scamander minifigure, a brick-built Nifler, and the portal-like entrance to the Magical Congress of the United States of America (MACUSA). We also have an image of the actual set as revealed during Day 1 of the San Diego Comic-Con, courtesy of The Brick Fan.

LEGO Dimensions Fantastic Beasts Tina Goldstein Fun Pack (71257)

LEGO Dimensions E.T. Fun Pack (71258)

LEGO Dimensions ET Fun Pack

CM4Sci gave us a first look how the iconic Extra Terrestrial will look like if given the LEGO Dimensions treatment. Though the minifigure version of ET is absolutely gorgeous, most fans over at Eurobricks were not really that thrilled over the telephone. The set has 42 pieces and will retail at $11.99. For those of you who are not that familiar with this 1982 Steven Spielberg masterpiece, the brick built phone in this set alludes to that scene where ET learns what a phone is, thinking that it could help him communicate with his home planet. Take a look at this video clip and see if you can notice how ET gets the idea.

LEGO Dimensions Sonic The Hedgehog Level Pack (71244)

As we earlier reported, the Blue Blur now speeds his way to LEGO Dimensions and we now have an official trailer to mark the event. The LEGO Dimension Level Pack comes with the iconic Sonic the Hedgehog minifigure, together with two brick built vehicles of the Sonic Speedster and high-flying Tornado, retailing at $29.99.

We are positive that Warner Bros Interactive and TT Games are gearing up for more LEGO Dimensions reveals anytime soon, with plenty of other titles such as that from the Teen Titans GO!, the Power Puff Girls, Goonies, and much so more that we are still waiting for to see. Stay tuned here at the Brick Show for more of your usual LEGO Dimensions fix.

WATCH: Sonic Celebrates His 25th Birthday By Having His Very Own LEGO Dimensions Level Pack!

The fastest hedgehog on the planet is now celebrating his 25th birthday, and his present can’t be any cooler than this. Following the official announcement of LEGO Dimensions’ Game Developer and Producer, Doug Heder  at last month’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), Sonic The Hedgehog now finally makes his debut as TT Games revealed the new LEGO Dimensions Sonic The Hedgehog Level Pack (71244), scheduled to arrive sometime this Fall.

What a perfect birthday gift for the Blue Blur as LEGO honors him on his 25th anniversary! The said Level Pack comes with an awesome Sonic minifigure, with all the fine details such as his trademark running shoes and a very impressive headpiece. Set 71244 also comes with two brick-built vehicles: the Sonic Speedster and Tornado.

LEGO Dimensions Sonic

LEGO Dimensions Game Directors Arthur Parsons and James Mcloughlin came in with the announcement over Sonic’s 25th Anniversary Party which was streamed live over at Twitch channel. According to the powerhouse duo, LEGO’s toys-to-life kitchen is cooking up more surprises under Sonic’s franchise and understandably, they are quite mum on the details. Sonic’s YouTube channel has recently uploaded its official LEGO Dimensions trailer highlighting some of the cool things that Sonic can do once he enters the LEGO Dimensions portal. Watch this.

It’s great to see Sonic move and interact with the various worlds and characters of LEGO Dimensions, including a 2D game mode that pays tribute to the Blue Blur’s humble beginnings. Staying faithful in rendering Sonic’s abilities, his LEGO Dimensions character will also feature a Super Sonic mode once all seven Chaos Emeralds are collected throughout the game.

With 16 new titles and licenses under its banner, LEGO Dimensions Series 2 is definitely a must have for any Dimensions fans, needless to say for all LEGO minifigure connoisseurs. CW’s The Atom Joins LEGO Marvel’s Steve Rogers Captain America As This Year’s SDCC Exclusive.

ATOM mnifigure

LEGO has now officially revealed the next minifigure exclusive that will join the LEGO Steve Rogers Captain America minifigure in this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. Following TLG’s reveal last week, we now have CW’s The Atom as the next DC Superhero that we’ll be featured during the Comic-Con alongside Cap. Check out the official announcement via LEGO’s official social media channels.

The LEGO Atom minifigure exclusive takes hint from Ray Palmer as seen in CW’s Arrowverse. Furthermore, according to The Brick Fan, the Atom/Ray Palmer minifigure is the third character featured from the Arrowverse as the Green Arrow was given away back in 2013 and Arsenal from last year.

As you can see, the Atom minifigure also comes with a printed 4×4 plate with the words Palmer Technologies printed on it. The said minifigure will be given by LEGO when SDCC kicks off on Thursday, July 21 and Saturday, July 23 at the Pavilion Terrace starting at 12:30PM. It is estimated by Minifigure Price Guide that around 2,000 pieces of each these exclusives will be sold by LEGO during the Comic-Con, which will be valued anywhere from $150-$250 each. As of the moment, we’re seeing a lot of these minifigs being offered at eBay together with LEGO’s newly released line of Brickheadz brick-built figures.

As we mentioned last time, those who cannot make it during this year’s SDCC may still have the chance to own these highly prized LEGO exclusives by following LEGO’s Twitter account via #LEGOSDCC.

We’ll definitely look forward to have our hands on these minifigs and watch out for Stephen and Jason’s reviews of these SDCC exclusives only here at the Brick Show!

For any questions or groups of 20+ please contact Travis Pollio at 617-226-6790 or

As Brickset pointed out, this could be a start of a promising partnership with professional sports organizations, with its recent partnership with the German National Football Team and the release of the limited edition LEGO Team DFB Collectible Minifigures (71014). Historically, this is the second time that LEGO entered a deal with the Red Sox, with the first one back in 1999 where the Red Sox did a same promotional when they gave away an ultra rare Red Sox Minifigure, that now costs anywhere between $100 to $230 over at Bricklink.

A quick browse also shows that LEGO has also once released a similar sports-themed minifig series with the LEGO NBA Basketball Series back in 2003, and the LEGO Team GB Minifigures (8909) released in 2012. Frankly, there has not been a lot of sports-themed minifigures that LEGO offered, so it is will really be great if LEGO can come up with a Red Sox themed minifigure collection sometime in the future. It will be a bit of a challenge though, since Oyo Sports now has claim over the collectible sports minifigure arena with license to produce its own set of customized minifigs for major sports association in the US such as the NFL, NHL, MLB, and MLS.

We’ll see where LEGO goes with this, and be sure to get your tickets on the 31st of August to avail this exclusive treat from LEGO.

Hail HYDRA! This Year’s SDCC LEGO Minifigure Exclusive Is…

LEGO Steve Rogers - Copy

Last week, we joined in the guessing game of figuring out what is this year’s exclusive San Diego Comic-Con LEGO minifigure. We already have a hint from fan forums and other LEGO enthusiasts that the two most likely candidates are DC Comic’s Atom as he is seen from the CW Network, and Steve Rogers in his latest Captain America costume and shield. The latter took its inspiration from Marvel Comic’s ‘shocking’ new take on the character of the most revered American super soldier who turns out to be a HYDRA double-agent operative. SPOILER ALERT: If you haven’t read the comics yet, I highly recommend that you do so before diving into the details of these exclusive minifigures. We also reported that a handful of LEGO minifigure knockoffs have been circulating around eBay claiming to be the Atom and Captain America HYDRA minifigs, and we’re glad that the real thing is far from how these bootlegs look like.

Now the guessing game has ‘officially’ ended with LEGO revealing one of the two minifigures that it will offer as San Diego Comic-Con exclusives. Over it social media channels, namely on Facebook and Twitter, LEGO announced (and confirmed) that Steve Roger’s Captain America is this year’s SDCC exclusive. Take a look.

We have no details yet on the exact time or schedule when this exclusive minifig will be given away, but The Brick Fan reports that there will be a minifigure given away for each day of the SDCC specifically at the Pavilion Terrace at 12:30PM. The good thing is that LEGO assured fans who cannot attend the San Diego Comic-Con that they still have a chance of owning this Steve Rogers Captain America minifig by following them at Twitter via #LEGOSDCC.

As of now, we haven’t heard any confirmation from LEGO regarding their LEGO Atom minifigure SDCC exclusive. We’ll keep you posted as new info comes in, so be sure to stay tuned here at the Brick Show!

LEGO Marvel Superheroes Hulk VS Red Hulk To Be Introduced at SDCC 2016.

The Hollywood Reporter (THR) reveals that the Red Hulks will be on LEGO’s spotlight when San Diego Comic-Con 2016 officially kicks in on July 21. The set will be shown during the SDCC but will not be available for purchase until January next year. We do not have a set number or official LEGO description yet, but according to THR it contains 375 pieces, including bigfig versions of Hulk and Red Hulk, and minifigure renditions of She-Hulk and her counterpart, Red She-Hulk. Each pair of figures also comes with their respective vehicles. Here’s LEGO’s official announcement via their Facebook page.

The Hulk VS Red Hulk set is priced at $59.99 which is a bit pricey given the cost per piece, but the inclusion of two bigfigs may perhaps justify the price. Quite frankly, the main catch of the set are the bigfigs and minifigures that goes with it, especially the Red Hulks. The vehicles are a bit of generic, save for the color scheme that matches with the figures that goes along with them.

LEGO Hulk VS Red Hulk figures

As it seems, LEGO is investing heavily on Marvel and DC sets considering their earlier reveals regarding the latest Marvel Superheroes and DC Comics Mighty Micros sets which will also be offered next year.

So what do you think about the Hulk VS Red Hulk set? Share us your thoughts in the comments section below, or via our official Facebook page.

Will These Minifigs Be The 2016 SDCC LEGO Exclusives?

Marvel fandom is now celebrating 75 years of Captain America, and with it comes a trove of controversies and revelations that surrounded the person of the ol’ red, white and blue superhero. It may no longer come as a surprise, albeit it may still have some shock value to some extent, that Marvel Comics came up with an earthshaking plot twist to the much revered comic book icon of patriotism. For almost a month, fans have struggled with the revelation that Captain America is, and has always been a Hydra Agent. Needless to say, most fans were not really happy or intrigued by this turn of events, but more of disgusted by the idea. Now that Issue #2 of Steve Rogers – Captain America, Marvel seems to convince fans that Cap is just a victim of the Red Skull’s schemes of altering Steve Roger’s past.

Captain America - Steve Rogers (2016-) 001-000 Captain America - Steve Rogers (2016-) 001-031

But this seems to be the case with a recent rumor currently circulating within Eurobrick’s forums. Since last June, there were several hints pointing towards a glorified Hydra remake of Captain America and DC Comic’s Atom as seen from the CW Network, both of which will debut in their LEGO minifigure forms during this year’s San Diego Comic-Con beginning July 21.

Though we must consider it for what it really is, a guess based on a rumored leak, a casual search over at eBay will yield several finds that will somehow make you wonder if all these guesses were somehow correct. This is what Minifigure Price Guide sets off to discover when it reported that several knockoff versions of Hydra’s Captain America minifigure are now being offered on eBay. Together with these bootlegs of Cap is another rumored SDCC LEGO minifig exclusive which is DC’s Atom (CW). These knockoffs are known for being notoriously accurate with their renditions, with some minor modifications on how it looks like for them to get off the hook from certain copyright issues. Here are some LEGO minifig knockoffs that MPG has found over the Internet.

Using similar search phrases, we also found these ‘alternate’ minifigure versions of Hydra’s Cap and DC’s Atom. Please bear in mind that impressive as these may seem on screen, these are still illegal copies of LEGO minifigs, and does not in any way represent any LEGO product.

Having a guessing game for each year’s SDCC LEGO minifigure exclusive has been sort of a ‘tradition’ among LEGO fan forums. Though someone will likely point out that they have insider info on these exclusives, we must always hold on to our salt shakers and take these things with a whole lot of salt. Now that we’re just two weeks away from SDCC, we just have to wait and see, and relish the surprise.

These LEGO Minifigures Have Arrived On Jupiter!

Earlier in June, we reported on the ambitious project of NASA and LEGO to send its first LEGO minifigure ambassadors on a one-way trip to the planet Jupiter aboard the Juno Spacecraft. It was a really cool and exciting endeavor to send into the vast space these minifig renditions of the Roman God Jupiter, his wife Juno, and the famous astronomer Galileo Galilei all molded and constructed using ultra high-grade aluminium. You might read the details of our earlier story right here.

Now NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab in Pasadena, California has confirmed that Juno has successfully started orbiting Jupiter – the largest planet in our solar system. After five years and travelling across 1.8 billion miles of space, the mission control screen at JPL flashed the message, “Welcome to Jupiter!” It was a momentous event as the Juno team cheered and congratulated each other, as CNN reports. Here are some of the tweets shared by NASA.

It was really cool to think about those LEGO minifigures silently orbiting Jupiter as of this very moment. Though it is a little bit discouraging to think that these interplanetary LEGO ambassadors will eventually meet their demise once the Juno spacecraft concludes its mission of gathering information about the gas giant, LEGO was kind enough to create a ‘backup’ set of these minifigures which are now under the care of Juno’s Principal Investigator Scott Bolton, using them as a springboard in encouraging children across the US in pursuing a career in space exploration.

We hope that LEGO will eventually come up with exclusive, limited edition replicas of these brave minifig explorers in celebration of Juno’s successful arrival on Jupiter. I love how the lightning bolt piece of the Roman god Jupiter, and Galileo’s globe came out since these are unique pieces on their own. In addition to these impressive parts, the fact that you’re holding in your hands LEGO minifigures that represent three ‘space pioneers’ 1.8 billion miles from our planet is enough to leave anyone with a sense of wonder and awe.

Finally! Here’s Our First Look On The Sonic LEGO Dimensions Minifigure.

LEGO Dimensions Series 2 has been making huge waves in the gaming industry with its tons of great reveals during last month’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). With a total of 30 licenses under its banner, it’s continually expanding selection of both classic and recent titles make LEGO Dimensions an enticing, and fun video game for the entire family. With more characters to be revealed , we now have our first look at one of LEGO Dimensions’ most anticipated minifigures.

Thanks to TT Games Producer Mark Warburton’s playful take on this latest wave of LEGO Dimensions, we managed to catch up with the fastest hedgehog on the face of the planet. Take a look at the images that Warburton posted on his Twitter page, just a couple of moments ago.

As it turns out, this is Sonic’s first public appearance in LEGO minifigure form which will be released in a Level Pack sometime in November. Though Warburton might have intentionally emphasized Sonic’s left side, still, the image says it all. LEGO deserves a pat on the shoulder for the impressive detailing of Sonic’s head piece.

The remaining, undisclosed LEGO Dimensions Series 2 is expected to be released in three consecutive waves sometime in November, and January and March next year. Wave 1 of Series 2 is expected to hit toy and gaming shelves on September 27, consisting of iconic characters from Harry Potter, the A-Team and Mission Impossible just to name a few. Grab this chance to be the one of the very first to own these groundbreaking LEGO Dimensions sets by pre-ordering at Wildcard Toys.
