LEGO Avengers Open World Video Game Trailer Released!

Telltale Games recently revealed their latest trailer for the impending release of the “LEGO Marvel Avengers” video game. Unlike Telltale’s previous LEGO Marvel game, this game revolves around the events of the various films within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Highlights of the new trailer included several locations from most of the MCU’s films, and the ability to play as several characters who have yet to receive their own film; some of the trailer’s footage show Wasp flying around the streets and skyscrapers of New York and Cap’s buddy Falcon coming in from a landing to join a debriefing.

Like most major game releases, LEGO Marvel Avengers has a bonus for those LEGO or MCU fans whom are already willing to buy the game. Anyone who preorders the game with video game retail chain GameStop will receive a minifigure of Iron Man Mk. XXXIII, also known as the “Silver Centurion.”

LEGOLand To Launch LEGO Ninjago: The Ride!

ORLANDO, FL (November 17, 2015) – With just a wave of their hands, guests at LEGOLAND®California Resort will be able to throw lightning bolts, move shockwaves, send ice soaring and emit fire balls with cutting-edge technology demonstrated by Triotech today at the IAAPA Expo in Orlando. The technology will be introduced for the first time in the new NINJAGO™ The Ride opening in spring 2016 at LEGOLAND California and LEGOLAND® Billund, followed byLEGOLAND® Malaysia in November.

NINJAGO The Ride is manufactured by Triotech, world leader in media based interactive attractions, and features  Maestro™ hand gesture technology that enables guests to control the outcome of their adventure through the power of their hand gestures without the use of a hand-held device.

“Triotech’s Maestro hand gesture technology features the ultimate ergonomics: each guest uses his or her own hands…or hand.  They can use left or right, one, or two hands. This is why we call it Maestro,” said President and CEO of Triotech Ernest Yale. “Just like an orchestra conductor, guests will create an amazing experience by using their hands. It is very intuitive and adaptive to the guest’s playing style.”

Through 3D imagery, high-tech sensors and the use of hand movements in a striking motion, up to four riders per car can act like ninja warriors blasting animated fireballs, lightning, shockwaves and ice as they travel through dojos to master their skills before heading into battle.  Riders collect points for their training and battle efforts throughout the ride and scores are displayed when their quest is completed. 4D effects such as heat, smoke and wind are also incorporated throughout the adventure, giving guests the ultimate interactive experience.

“Merlin’s Magic Making team is at the core of every new attraction going into Merlin parks worldwide and we are excited to be working with Triotech to bring this global project to three of our Parks across three countries next year,” said Managing Director of LEGOLAND Parks Hans Aksel Pedersen. “NINJAGO The Ride represents a new class of LEGOLAND attraction in terms of technology, immersion and interactivity. The entire Merlin’s Magic Making team is excited to see how guests react to what will be a world first and completely unique theme park experience.”

At today’s press conference, Yale explained that the technology works by first detecting each guest’s hand motion, then sophisticated software determines where the guest is aiming. That is then translated to an image showing the projectile’s progress on screen.  Each guest will have their own color so he or she will know exactly where they are aiming and receive instant feedback by seeing their projectiles and impacts.

The ride will be the epicenter of a new NINJAGO land where interactive experiences will test guests’ physical skills, balance and agility before they can prep for their ultimate training session on NINJAGO The Ride.

Based on the popular property LEGO® NINJAGO™, which was brought to life by The LEGO Group® in 2011 through a line of construction toys and a TV series on Cartoon Network, guests will enjoy interactive elements on this new ride featuring key characters.

LEGO NINJAGO tells the story of four young ninja heroes – Kai, Jay, Cole and Zane – who train under the watchful eye of Master Wu to master an ancient martial art – Spinjitzu. LEGO NINJAGO is one of the most successful LEGO properties.

NINJAGO- The Ride will be included in the cost of admission to LEGOLANDCalifornia Resort. For ticket prices, operating schedule and additional information, visit www.LEGOLAND.com or call 760-918-LEGO (5346).
