I was at my local Toys ‘R Us (Mall of Georgia) yesterday and discovered a mix of the 2014 summer LEGO sets. We found it interesting that it was such a random mix between multiple themes.

At the Brick Show Sydney LEGO unveiled the latest in the larger scale Creator series, the Fairground Mixer (10224). Really, it’s a carnival scene that includes an impressive 12 minifigures and 1,746 pieces. As you’ll see in the pictures and designer video the Fairgrounds comes in on two trucks which then convert into a dunk tank, strong man exhibit and the mixer complete with rotating seats and glow in the dark pieces.

Images have surfaced for the 2 LEGO Ninjago 2014 summer sets which includes the Z-1 Ninja Charger and Battle for Ninjago City. Now we have already seen these (see videos below), and though I wish we had more coming for LEGO Ninjago this summer, these 2 sets are fantastic!
BrickShop.nl has listed 6 new LEGO Minecraft sets. Interestingly, many are speculating that these are the highly anticipated minifigure scale sets that LEGO has said is coming later this year. The names and price points lead us to believe that these are those minifigure scale sets and not more microscale sets. Here are those names:

In this episode of Minifigure Madness, we look at the LEGO 2013 Shredder vs. the 2014 Shredder. The 2013 Shredder minifigure was released in the LEGO Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Shredder’s Dragon Bike (79101) set. The 2014 Shredder minifigure is from LEGO Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Shredder’s Lair Rescue (79122). These two figures are very similar, yet there are some unique differences too. Take a look at their images below, with the one on the left coming from set 79101, while the one on the right is from set 79122.

The LEGO Minecraft Facebook page posted this teaser picture this morning for the coming minifigure scale line. It depicts Steve mining a chocolate egg to find a golden creeper! With the popularity of the LEGO Minecraft sets already released and the similarity between the digital worlds of Minecraft and the physical world of LEGO, it only makes sense to give us all more LEGO Minecraft!

Today, the LEGO The Hobbit video game was officially launched! If you are in the market, you can buy the game here. Over the next few weeks look for us to push out our gameplay videos for each of the levels from the LEGO Hobbit game. If you pre-ordered the game through GameStop, you would have gotten the exclusive Good Morning Bilbo Baggins minifigure. As of now, this is selling for around $30 on eBay.
In case you missed it, this latest LEGO-inspired video game also coincides with the release of the Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug on Blu-ray/DVD. If you buy the film on Blu-ray through Target (online or in-store) you will be able to get the Legolas Greenleaf (30215) polybag.
