First Hand Look at the LEGO Star Wars Rogue One Rebel U-Wing Fighter (75155) Spotted in Target!

When Stephen went to his local toy store for his usual ‘patrol duty’ for awesome LEGO sets and choice finds, something unexpectedly cool happened. Displayed at Sawgrass Mills Target Store in Sunrise, Florida is an actual LEGO set dedicated to the newest transport to hit the roster of starships that will debut in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Stephen had the chance to snap a 2-minute video of the LEGO Star Wars Rebel U-Wing Fighter (75155) that was prominently displayed like a centerpiece, together with other LEGO sets offered at the said store. The same is also listed in Target’s online store. There were no sets of the Rebel U-Wing that were placed on Target’s shelves just yet, but we’re pretty sure that they all have them ready at the back just waiting for the official release on September 30 in time for Force Friday. Take a look.

The actual set is better and larger than we have expected, coming in at 659 pieces and retailing for $79.99. According to, the Rebel U-Wing Fighter (75155) measures in at 3” in height, 17” in length, and 7” wide with its wings closed and 25” when opened. That is a relatively large set given its modest piece count. The set also features five minifigs including Jyn Erso, Cassian Andor, a Rebel Trooper, a U-Wing Pilot and show-stealer Bistan.  The cockpit itself allows a minifig to be boarded in it while the rest of the rebel team can be placed inside the transporter below the ship.

As seen from Rogue One’s trailer, the Rebel U-Wing is more like a troop transport kind of dropship rather than a star fighter like what Jason has pointed out To showcase some of the features of this set, LEGO has came up with a product animation for the LEGO Star Wars Rebel U-Wing Fighter (75155) as you can see below.

Here’s LEGO’s official description for the Rebel U-Wing:

LEGO Star Wars Rebel U-Wing Fighter (75155)

The amazing U-Wing Fighter has all the details you would expect from an authentic Star Wars model, including 4 big engines, an opening minifigure cockpit with transparent lower observation window, opening side doors with pull-out stud shooters, dual spring-loaded shooters at the front, rear storage hold and huge wings that sweep back to create an even bigger model. Includes 5 minifigures.

Here Are More Updates From The LEGO DC Comics Rumor Mill!

Last month, we had a sneak peek at LEGO’s massive rumored sets slated to hit next year, including those under the DC Comics line. Thanks to LEGO insiders CM4Sci and Just2good, we now have an idea on how these sets will be like and they all seem to be pretty impressive. Though these are all treated as rumors and speculations, these legends have a pretty good track record when it comes to accurately describing what they see in LEGO’s crystal ball.

Taking hint from DC Comics’ newest line of famous female superheroes and super-villains typified in their teen years, LEGO’s iteration of DC’s Super Hero Girls consists of sets focusing on characters such as that of Batgirl, Lashida, Bumblee, Wonder Woman and Harley Quinn. Here’s how CM4Sci describes them over at Eurobricks.

I’ve seen the sets, and they’re a lot better than I thought they’d be.

General facts:
Each set comes with a small, weird crystal-like villain build. Packaging is blue and sparkly, it looks very nice. There will be a 22-minute TV special, and 6 three-minute shorts. Release in February.

41230 – Batgirl’s Batjet – a small and round Batwing, it actually looks really neat. It uses the round UFO corners as the wings in a dark blue. In front is a pretty well hidden net launcher. Batgirl is in no way final but she’s sitting in the jet. There’s a small buggy for the yellow bad guy, who seems to be holding a phone?

41231 – Harley Quinn’s Cafe Rescue (?) – has a small, two floor cafe build labelled ‘Capes & Cowls’ Harley Quinn is on a flying net shooter with wings. The piece usually used for net launchers is the middle. Steve (is that his name?) is captured in a vine on the top floor. There’s a green crystal baddie included

41232 – The High School! – It looks so cool. It features a giant central tower with stickers that give off the perspective that it’s growing to a sharp point. Each side has a small part of the school with a flex tube used to create a cool design for the window. On top there’s a giant pink diamond. Now, what’s cool about this is that the entire center tower can be opened up to let loose Poison Ivy’s bike that shoots flowers! It creates a giant ramp. I don’t know who the bad guy is but they’re in a small, black/purple flying jet with a giant claw in front, flying towards the pink diamond. There are things like disc shooters to fight off the bad guys. The set comes with Supergirl, Poison Ivy, a creature Poison Ivy has created, Bad Guy, and 2 crystal baddies.

41233 – Lashida’s Action Rider – is in a small wheeled vehicle she sits on that is shoots studs at Krypto’s doghouse (uses Jasmine as a stand-in). Krypto uses a generic Friends dog but I’m sure there’ll be a new piece for him. Comes with Lashida, Krypto, and blue crystal bad creature

41234 – Bumblebee’s Helicopter – has a small spherical, dual rotor helicopter. The crystal guys are carrying a trunk full of yellow stuff. Comes with Bumblebee and two red crystal bad creatures.

41235 – Wonder Woman’s Dorm – has a closet, a bed with window, and a desk in patriotic colors. The transparent motorcycle sits atop a spinning platform. Wonder Woman comes with her lasso and is fighting an orange crystal creature.

The sets honestly look way better than I thought they would be, and the packaging just makes it even better!

In a similar vein, Just2good also dropped in his own predictions of what we can expect from LEGO and its partnership with Warner Bros. Pictures. With the film giant steadily building its DC’s Extended Universe, we can also expect the LEGO Group coming up with sets dedicated to these super hero films. We saw how LEGO came up with sets related to that of Superman’s return to the big screen back in 2013 with Man of Steel, particularly with Superman: Metropolis Showdown (76002), Superman: Battle of Smallville (76003) and Superman: Black Zero Escape (76009). The more recent Batman VS Superman: Dawn of Justice also received the LEGO treatment with three sets namely Clash of the Heroes (76044), Kryptonite Interception (76045), and Heroes of Justice: Sky High Battle (76046). This time, Just2good pulls off the veil a little and gives us a peak on what LEGO has in store with Warner Bros’ next offering with the Amazonian Princess Diana in Wonder Woman. To quote, here’s Just2good’s prediction:

We will be getting a Wonder Woman movie set in 2017 – albeit an exclusive (like the Doctor Strange set), but it really makes me happy we’ll be getting at least one. Almost confident it’s minifigure based and under the DC Super Heroes line, but the only facts I know is that it’s coming and its exclusive.

That being the case, then this singular, LEGO Wonder Woman set will be LEGO’s second exclusive movie-based offering similar to that of Doctor Strange’s Sanctum Sanctorum (76060). We don’t have any updates yet on what particular scene this LEGO set will depict but we are confident that somebody knows about it out there considering the planning and amount of time required for LEGO designers to come up with a final set.

Finally, just in time before the cinematic version of the Justice League hits theaters in November of 2017, CM4Sci shares another juicy hint:

Lemme make it even better! We’re not getting one, not two, but THREE JUSTICE LEAGUE sets next summer!

CM4Sci’s hint seems to echo what LEGO has come up with in relation to Man of Steel and Batman VS Superman. Again, with regards to how these sets may possibly look like is still a mystery known only to a select few LEGO designers and top brass, most likely kept mum by a strict disclosure agreement. The truth is certainly out there!

So how do you think these sets will look like? What sets are you most excited about? Share us your predictions in the comments below or drop by our Facebook page and join in the discussions.

First Look At LEGO Seasonal Sets Pilgrim (40204) and Christmas Toy Workshop (40205).

A couple of weeks ago we had our first look of one of LEGO’s seasonal sets just in time for the Halloween with the LEGO Vampire and Bat (40203). As it seems, it is customary for these seasonal sets to give us a glimpse on what is next in the series by featuring it at the back of the building instructions.

This time around, Jason from the BrickVibe has recently shared his finds on what is next’s on LEGO’s collectible seasonal sets starting with the Thanksgiving-themed Pilgrim (40204) set. Take a look.

As mentioned, set 40204 is featured at the back of 40203’s building instruction booklet and shows a brick-built figure of a pilgrim seated on what seems to be a pumpkin, enjoying his fill of turkey drumsticks. The LEGO seasonal Pilgrim is expected to hit stores next October retailing at $9.99 same as that of the Vampire and Bat (40203).

Next to the Pilgrim debuts another seasonal collectible that will be a great addition to any Christmas-themed LEGO set. Similarly, Jason managed to get a copy of the LEGO Pilgrim set that gives us a glimpse on the next seasonal set that LEGO will offer probably sometime in November. We do not have an official name for it yet, save for its set number 40205. However, based on how it looks like, we can make a pretty good guess that these are Santa’s workshop elves busy working on some toys.

There is no official word and additional info from LEGO as of the moment on when the Christmas Toy Workshop (40205) will be released, but we can expect that this set will probably retail at the same price range as that of the previous ones before it.

LEGO Star Wars Death Star (75159) and Winter Holiday Train (10254) Now Available for VIPs.

It’s September 15, and as mentioned in LEGO’s October Store Calendar, the much awaited Winter Holiday Train (10254) and Star Wars Death Star (75159) is now available for purchase for all LEGO VIP members. Though some LEGO Star Wars fan were not really happy about the rehashed Death Star which takes cue from its predecessor the 10188, LEGO’s intention was to give opportunity for those collectors who missed out on the previous model to own the iconic, planet-zapping, Imperial weapon. Not much has been changed with the design of the Death Star itself, save for some new minifigures that were exclusively added to the set. As we reported previously, the new LEGO Star Wars Death Star (75159) comes in at 4,016 pieces, including 25 minifigures (plus RD-D2 and an Imperial Astromech) and will retail at $500.

75159-1 75159_box1_v39 75159_box5_v39

The LEGO Creator Winter Holiday Train (10254) is the next D2C set that is geared towards fans of advanced train systems. It consists of 734 pieces, 16 curved track pieces which you can combine to make one circular track, and 5 minifigures. The Winter Holiday Train may also be upgraded with LEGO Power Functions (not included in the original set) to create a realistic motorized engine.

10254-1 10254_box1_v39 10254_box5_v39

Though being a VIP member allows you early access to these exclusives, which is great if you are really excited to have your hands working on these sets right away, it is also wise to put these on hold specially that the month of October allows you to earn double VIP points on your purchases. That will be great value for your money, especially if you’re investing on larger sets like the LEGO Star Wars Death Star. However, if you’re really eager to build these sets now, just head over at and start clicking right away.

So are you excited for these LEGO exclusives? Tell us what you about these sets in the comments below and be sure to stay tuned at our YouTube channel for Jason and Stephen’s review of the new LEGO Star Wars Death Star and Winter Holiday Train.

Carl Greatrix, fan designer, and Henrik Andersen, LEGO Designer, share their insights:

“One of the most exhilarating drives I’ve ever had was out on the track in a Caterham Seven. It is brutally fast due to its light weight and tremendous fun to be in. It really struck a chord in my heart that I never forgot”, Carl Greatrix a.k.a. bricktrix_Carl explains as he talks about his love for Caterham cars.

This love turned to inspiration for his future LEGO Caterham model, Carl explains “When I got back into building LEGO car models I thought the shape of the vehicle would lend itself to being modelled well in LEGO bricks as it is very angular and if I could find a suitable scale then I would be able to get all the details into it that I would love to see”.

Henrik Andersen, LEGO designer, shared his enthusiasm for Carl’s work “Carl really did a great job of converting the real car’s shape into a LEGO version as both the sloping front and the hood are really complex”.

LEGO 21307 Caterham Seven 620R Images!

A while back now, a leaked image of the next LEGO ideas set, 21307 Caterham Seven 620R, was released on to the Internet via a (presumably early) copy of a LEGO magazine. This image cause a lot of hype as people discovered that the new LEGO model had indeed kept close to both the Orignal fan model and the Orignal car design itself. I won’t both posting this leaked image here however, because we now have a clearer, much higher quality look at the model to go off instead!

This photo highlights the entire build, which I must say looks brilliant. The uses of multiple curved pieces and tilting techniques really make this thing look elegant yet simple as the real life vehicle does. The small red floor jack builds are also a nice touch.

And as can be expected with all LEGO Ideas sets, a high quality and detailed box houses the set on the shelves:

Whilst these images may be classed as a leak, they are clearly LEGO’s own product images that have simply been compressed. Also, it seems very likely that the model will get revealed in the next few days anyway due to its impending release date.

So what do you think of the new set? Tell us below, and make sure to keep checking back here for all your LEGO news here on The Brick Show!

Max It Up With LEGO Mixels Series 9!

Though we’re seeing the end of the line for one of LEGO’s wackiest and most creative themes yet, the crazy gang of the Mixels aren’t just done yet. Coming in this October, we’ll be seeing what could be the last three tribes of the Mixels with its Series 9 collectibles. We already have their official images way back in April, and this time has updated their site to give us a look at how the Max versions of the Trashoz, Nindjas, and Newzers would like. The LEGO Mixels Series 9 consists of:

Trashoz Tribe: Gobbol (41572), Sweepz (41573), Compax (41574)

Nindjas TribeCobrax (41575), Spinza (41576), Mysto (41577)

Newzers Tribe: Screeno (41578), Camsta (41579), Myke (41580)

If you’re planning to give away some brick-built treats during the Halloween, or to have them as gifts during the holiday season, then Mixels is a good alternative. Just don’t forget to stock up on them once they hit stores on October 1. Stay tuned for more updates and reviews on the LEGO Mixels line only here at the Brick Show.

Here’s Another Wave of 2017 LEGO Star Wars Rumors!

Hot on the heels of the latest sets rumored to be released under the LEGO Marvel Superheroes theme sometime next year, now comes another wave of unconfirmed reports (aka rumors) that fans of the brick-built galaxy far, far away will surely look forward to. We already know that we can expect around 14 new LEGO Star Wars sets to debut next year, and this time around Eurobricks Grand Dukes Klaus Dieter and CM4Sci gave us a few hints on how some of these sets will look like. Though these LEGO insiders have a reputation for stunningly accurate predictions, it is always prudent to bear in mind that these are all speculations until LEGO gives its press release and share to us the sets’ official images. The pictures shown below are for comparative purposes only and do not in any way represent the rumored LEGO sets.

According to Klaus Dieter,

I only can confirm following:

Duel of the Fates (75173)
– Darth Maul, Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon
– Location about same size and style like this year’s Carbon Freezing Chamber, but main colors are black, blue and grey
– It shall symbolize the room where they fight and Qui-Gon dies

Desert Skiff (75174)
– Han, Chewy, Boba, Skiff Guard
– Only new minifig might be the skiff guard
– Boring since with minor changes it’s exactly the last version

Landspeeder (75169)
–  Obi-Wan, Luke, 3PO, Tusken Raider
– Boring since with minor changes it’s exactly the last version
– Which is really a shame is that there’s NO BANTHA INCLUDED!!!

The Phantom (75170) looked like a small version of an Imp. Shuttle and Yoda’s Starfighter (75168) like a dark green version of a regular Jedi Starfighter.

The set with Lando (75179) wasn’t shown there. So either it’s a Rogue One set or an exclusive. All RO sets were only shown as black boxes.

CM4Sci also offered his observations on how some of the above mentioned sets look and feel.  Though he and Klaus may be describing the same sets, they don’t necessarily share the same thoughts and opinions about them, especially with regards to the Desert Skiff (75174).

From what I saw the Skiff (75174) is very different, it uses flex tube railings on both ends, and the front is made of those curved shell pieces that Exo-Force used. Skiff Guard used the Nadakhan hair. The Sarlacc Pit is also a new build with rounded corners and the oval canopy piece in dark orange.

Thrawn’s torso was white

The Duel (75173) set looked like a round, raised platform with a hole in the middle, one section of curved wall in a corner, and an attached passageway with a function underneath that I assume disables the laser grid in front of Obi-Wan

The Landspeeder (75169) looked close to the 2014 one but the front was a brighter tan, and the thruster engine things on top and on the sides had dark orange R5 heads.

So what do you think about these rumors and predications? As exciting as these are with the myriad of LEGO sets that TLG is poised to release, it is still wise to consider these with a grain of salt. Share us your thoughts by dropping us a note in the comments section below.
