WATCH: LEGO Minecraft – The Fortress (21127) Designer Video

21127

Ahead of its release next month, LEGO Minecraft has recently uploaded a designer video of its latest modular set, The Fortress (21127). Max from the LEGO Minecraft team took time to show the various features of the set which includes minifigures of Steve wearing golden pants (which compliments his golden armor), 3 skeletons, a horse with its new head element and a sheep. Out of the box, you’ll also get to build its separate modules which you can build and connect in any way that you want. Watch this.

Similar to the LEGO Minecraft – The Village (21128), The Fortress is noticeably modular which allows you to come up with so many ways on how to recreate the set. Using the modules and its unique connectors, you can either build a wall or come up with a watch tower depending on how far you’ll allow your imagination to fly. Take a look at these images to have a better idea.

Though it was mentioned already in LEGO’s September Store Calendar, it’s still yet to appear at shop.LEGO.com. We’ll keep you posted once new info comes in about this awesome set, so stay tuned here at the Brick Show!

New LEGO Minecraft Collectible Minifigures Announced.

Minecraft minifigs_02

Hot off the trail of LEGO’s Collectible Minifigures Series 16 (71013) comes another minifig collection that will surely be a hit among LEGO and Minecraft fans. The LEGO Minecraft Team has recently announced via their Facebook page that they will be releasing for the first time ever, two Skin Packs that are basically new exclusive minifigures that can complement any LEGO Minecraft sets, as The Brick Fan reports. The Skin Packs will have set numbers 853609 and 853610 assigned to them.

The Skin Packs include eight minifigures which includes a Camouflage wearing character, your usual Normal Guy in an everyday shirt, the Captain of the ship, a Cyborg looking minifigure, Knight (which looks like Boba Fett actually), a Crafter, Adventurer (which seems to take hint from Han Solo) and what the LEGO Minecraft Team refers to as the Full Moon guy.

We don’t have any info yet with regards to pricing, and where to get them but its September release date is not that far away so expect LEGO to be revealing more in the next few weeks. Given their serial numbers, it may suggest that they maybe exclusively available at all LEGO Brand Stores and at shop.LEGO.com.

WATCH: Behind The Scenes With The LEGO Minecraft Challenge – Classic Tales.

LEGO Minecraft Classic Tales 02

Last April, LEGO launched its first Minecraft Competition dubbed as Classic Tales. The idea behind the contest is for LEGO Minecraft fans to stretch their building creativity and problem solving skills to help Alex and Steve to escape a tight spot or a challenge that they find themselves in. Participants are encouraged to build their own solutions or models, snap a photo, and upload their entries via the contest’s Facebook page. Running for four weeks in a row, the team of designers behind the LEGO Minecraft series will determine the most creative contribution and will co-create exciting stop motion stories out of these.

LEGO Minecraft Classic Tales

The winning contributions were rendered in four LEGO Minecraft stop-motion animations which were featured on LEGO’s YouTube channel on April 18 and 29 respectively. We’ve compiled the LEGO Minecraft – Classic Tales videos right here in case you missed them last April.

After a long overdue promise to fans, the LEGO Minecraft design team finally came up with a behind-the-scenes video highlighting the creative process that went through in making the Classic Tales episodes. From painstakingly combing through all the entries, choosing the best and most creative solution, and then brainstorming for the most entertaining storyboard, the LEGO Minecraft design team came up with the most creative solutions for Alex and Steve that uniquely carries LEGO’s brand of fun and humor. Watch their mini-documentation here.

The winners for the contest each received the shop@home exclusive LEGO Minecraft The Village (21128) coming in at 1,600 pieces and features 11 minifigures, the set retails at $199.99.
