Remastered LEGO Harry Potter Video Game Collection to be Released in October.

Warner Bros, Interactive Entertainment has recently announced the release of the remastered LEGO Harry Potter Video Game Collection coming to Playstation 4. According to WB, the rehashed volume combines both Harry Potter games from Years 1-4 and Years 5-7 as seen from the books and films.

As it seems, LEGO and Warner Bros seem to amp things up with the Harry Potter video games considering that they also have J.K. Rowling’s wizarding world under LEGO’s toys-to-life umbrella, with the LEGO Dimensions Harry Potter Team Pack (71247). Take a look at LEGO’s official press release below.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment Announces the LEGO Harry Potter Collection for PlayStation4.

hp-02hp-01

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and TT Games today announced the LEGO® Harry Potter™ Collection, bringing LEGO® Harry Potter™: Years 1-4 and LEGO® Harry Potter™: Years 5-7 to the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system for the first time with both top-selling videogames remastered on one disc.

Launching on October 18 in North America and October 21, 2016 in Europe, this compilation unites the creative prowess of LEGO ® and the expansive world of Harry Potter, with an exciting journey full of spell-casting, potion-making, puzzle-solving, lessons, dueling and much more for players young and old to enjoy. Gamers can experience the entire LEGO Harry Potter adventure featuring content from seven books and eight films, with enhanced graphics, environments, lighting and visual effects, along with two downloadable content (DLC) packs. Sure to delight fans of J.K. Rowling’s ever-expanding Wizarding World, the LEGO Harry Potter Collection serves as a perfect gift for those eagerly anticipating the upcoming film, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

  • LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4is based on the first four books and films—Harry Potter and the Philosophers stone ™, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets ™, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban ™ and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire ™—allowing fans to experience Harry’s first four years at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in full LEGO form.
  • LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7transports players through the final three books and final four films—Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix™, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince™ and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows™—to experience Harry’s last years at Hogwarts™ and his battle against Lord Voldemort™ in the ultimate fight between good and evil.
  • Character Pack DLCincluded on disc featuring 10 characters—Godric Gryffindor, Harry (Yule Ball), Helga Hufflepuff, Lockhart (Straightjacket), Luna (Lion Head), Peeves, Hermione (Pink Dress), Ron Weasley (Ghoul), Rowena Ravenclaw and Salazar Slytherin.
  • Spell Pack DLCincluded on disc featuring 5 spells—Cantis, Densaugeo, Ducklifors, Melofors and Tentaclifors.

Frankly speaking, it would be nice if LEGO can throw in some exclusive minifigs together with this 2-in-1 game bundle to make it more appealing. With TLG’s recent moves of releasing rehashed sets like that of the LEGO Star Wars Death Star 75159 and LEGO Star Wars Assault on Hoth 75098 (both of which have gained a rather notorious reputation), fans will be happier (and less disappointed) if LEGO can bring something new to the table.

The Playstation 4 Remastered LEGO Harry Potter Video Game Collection is now available for pre-order over at Amazon, retailing for $50 and with an expected release date of October 18.

Supergirl Now Flies Her Way To LEGO Dimensions Starter Packs!

Supergirl

Rumor has been thick regarding the Girl of Steel making her debut in LEGO Dimensions. Since last April when we reported that Supergirl’s building guide was found over at LEGO servers, news was virtually non-existing about her availability and release date.

Just a few hours ago, LEGO Dimensions’ Facebook page has announced that the elusive and highly prized minifigure of the Girl from Krypton will now be exclusively offered with the LEGO Dimension Starter Pack for the Playstation 4 starting this September. As of this writing, there has been no announcement yet from LEGO if Supergirl’s LEGO Dimensions’ minifigure will be offered to other gaming platforms as well.

https://www.facebook.com/plugins/video.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2FLEGODimensions%2Fvideos%2F1756149928003762%2F&show_text=0&width=560

Supergirl also comes as an in-game playable character accessible via the ‘Hire-a-Hero’ section of LEGO Dimensions. However, I have a strong feeling that owning the video game itself may be secondary, as compared to the excitement of actually having the exclusive Supergirl collectible minifigure. We just hope that LEGO will also do the same with the Green Arrow minifigure promotional polybag that were offered at E3 last June. It will be great to see that added to all LEGO Dimensions Starter Packs across multiple gaming platforms. Check out the official press release below.

The LEGO Dimensions PS4™ Starter Pack includes the videogame, bricks to build the LEGO Gateway, four LEGO minifigures, Batman, Gandalf, Wyldstyle and the exclusive Supergirl, plus the LEGO Batmobile, and the revolutionary LEGO Toy Pad, which allows players to transport special LEGO minifigures and models into the game, as well as direct in-game action all with the movement of the physical toys.

New LEGO Star Wars The Force Awakens – Phantom Limb Level Pack Now Available.

The Phantom Limb

PlayStation owners can now have access to an exclusive LEGO Star Wars The Force Awakens Level Pack entitled The Phantom Limb. The said Level Pack follows the story of C-3PO and his posse of droids as their ship crashes on the planet Taul, with its acid rain environment and droid-eating spiders. It is not exactly what you can call a vacation, especially for a protocol droid.

The Phantom Limb 02 The Phantom Limb 07

The story may well be considered as part of Star Wars canon as announced by the Lucasfilm story group last year, so it’s definitely an interesting take on the backstory of how C-3PO got his red arm, which was widely talked about since the debut of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens.  Here’s WB Games UK’s description of this very intriguing Level Pack.

The Phantom Limb 06

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today announced the release of The Phantom Limb Level Pack for LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens, along with a new video showcasing this exciting downloadable (DLC) content, which is available today as a FREE download exclusively for players on PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system.

The Phantom Limb Level Pack extends the LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens experience, continuing the story from the Trouble Over Taul Level — one of the New Adventures set in the time leading up to the film — after C-3PO’s ship crash lands on the barren planet of Taul, allowing players to discover the thrilling events that led to his new red arm and reunion with the Resistance. This add-on content includes The Phantom Limb (Level), C-3PO (Taul), 2MED2, CO-34, GNK-189, MSE-Y, O-MR1 (Taul), PZ-99 (Taul), VL-44 (Taul), CR90 Corvette (Full-size Vehicle) and CR90 Corvette (Microfighter Vehicle).

The Phantom Limb Level Pack is only available via PS3 and PS4 consoles as a free download, however it expected that it will be available on other major gaming platforms later in the year. For the timing and release of all other DLC content, keep an eye on the LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Twitter,  Facebook,  Instagram and YouTube channels, and official website for details

LEGO Star Wars Panel Interview At Star Wars Celebration Europe Now Up!

Star Wars Celebration Europe in London may all well be over, but with the Force still lingers over in the internet, we can still expect a lot of LEGO-wielding Jedis and Padawans relishing on the events that transpired at the Excel London Exhibition Centre. As awesome as Star Wars Celebration Europe is, frankly speaking, not all the panels were given the live-stream treatment particular those that converge with our love for the LEGO brick and the galaxy far, far away.

Thankfully, Star Wars’ official YouTube channel has uploaded those LEGO-related panels that were not streamed live like the rest of its programs. This is a great favor for us who were not able to attend the celebrations. First up is the LEGO Star Wars The Force Awakens Panel featuring an in-depth look on how the LEGO Star Wars video game franchise developed over the years. Watch this.

The panel featured Douglas Riley from Lucasfilm Games, Jonathan Smith, Head of Production at TT Games and Graham Goring, Lead Story Designer of LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Video Game, all of which revealed some fun facts and interesting information on how the latest addition to the LEGO Star Wars video games were created. The panelist also hinted at the possibility of a LEGO Rogue One videogame anytime soon.

A more recent upload gives us a behind-the-scenes look at the latest LEGO-inspired series currently being aired at Disney XD. The LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures, which began airing on Disney XD last June 20, follows the Freemakers – a family of intergalactic scavengers who operate a salvage and repair shop in space. Their relatively peaceful world is turned upside down when their youngest discovers a natural connection with the Force through an ancient artifact – the Kyber Saber. Here’s what executive producers Bill Motz and Bob Roth, together with director Michael Wegner and Matthew Wood (the voice behind the droid R0-GR) has to say during the LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures panel.

Season 1 of LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures is currently being aired at Disney XD and various On Demand services.

WATCH: Video Gameplay For LEGO Dimensions’ Sonic, Gizmo, And More Featured At The SDCC 2016.

IGN Lego Dimensions 02

With the recent trailer of Sonic’s gameplay in LEGO Dimensions Series 2 now out, it will certainly be nice to see how the Blue Blur will interact with the rest of the gang. IGN’s Brian Altano and Marty Silva had an exclusive interview with LEGO Dimensions’ Game Director Arthur Parsons over at the San Diego Comic-Con where the latter also showcased the various abilities of the newest characters to be included in LEGO Dimensions. Watch the interview below and see how Sonic, Gizmo, and E.T. play around inside Jake and Finn’s Adventure Time Treehouse.

Obviously, Sonic’s strongest selling point is his lightning speed coupled with his Acrobat ability and pretty cool grind rail moves. Gizmo’s Combat Roll and Dash Attack abilities can be used to get him out of sticky situations, plus he comes with a great looking Rambo costume when he uses his ranged attacks. E.T. looks so cute as he moves along in LEGO Dimensions with his Illumination and Fix-It abilities. It’s a great time to be a kid of the 80s once more with all the modern and classic characters teaming together in one cool mashup video game.

A Round Up Of The Most Recent LEGO Dimensions Series 2 Packs That We Have Seen Yet.

LEGO Dimensions Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them Story Pack (71253)

Just in time for the film’s theatrical debut this November, the next Story Pack in LEGO Dimensions Series 2 directly comes from the work of world-renowned writer J.K. Rowling. We first had a glimpse of how this Story Pack looks like through the latest Argos Catalogue from the UK. Similar to the Ghostbusters Story Pack, the Fantastic Beasts Story Pack 71253 allows you to play the movie in LEGO Dimensions. The set includes the Newt Scamander minifigure, a brick-built Nifler, and the portal-like entrance to the Magical Congress of the United States of America (MACUSA). We also have an image of the actual set as revealed during Day 1 of the San Diego Comic-Con, courtesy of The Brick Fan.

LEGO Dimensions Fantastic Beasts Tina Goldstein Fun Pack (71257)

Coming in hot from SDCC is another addition to the Fantastic Beasts franchise, this time with LEGO Dimensions Tina Goldstein Fun Pack 71257. The set comes with the Tina minifigure and a brick-built figure of the Swooping Evil, as seen from the image below.

LEGO Dimensions E.T. Fun Pack (71258)

LEGO Dimensions ET Fun Pack

CM4Sci gave us a first look how the iconic Extra Terrestrial will look like if given the LEGO Dimensions treatment. Though the minifigure version of ET is absolutely gorgeous, most fans over at Eurobricks were not really that thrilled over the telephone. The set has 42 pieces and will retail at $11.99. For those of you who are not that familiar with this 1982 Steven Spielberg masterpiece, the brick built phone in this set alludes to that scene where ET learns what a phone is, thinking that it could help him communicate with his home planet. Take a look at this video clip and see if you can notice how ET gets the idea.

LEGO Dimensions Sonic The Hedgehog Level Pack (71244)

As we earlier reported, the Blue Blur now speeds his way to LEGO Dimensions and we now have an official trailer to mark the event. The LEGO Dimension Level Pack comes with the iconic Sonic the Hedgehog minifigure, together with two brick built vehicles of the Sonic Speedster and high-flying Tornado, retailing at $29.99.
