This year’s Brickworld Chicago may have already been concluded, but the awe-inspiring LEGO MOCs and original creation by some of the country’s top LEGO Master Builders continue to linger on. One of the most memorable highlights of the 2-day event was the accustomed World of Lights presentation, usually held during the last night (which falls on a Saturday) of Brickworld when all of the program’s visitors have gone home already. This is a rare sight indeed, since only a few get to witness this.

The magic begins once the overhead lights of the Convention Center conference hall are turned off. Fitted with LED light strips, these MOC masterpieces become a one-of-a-kind festival of lights. Thankfully, Jason and the rest of the Brick Show team were there to witness the unveiling. Watch this.

These light-fitted MOCs were all equally impressive. However, I have to say that the LEGO Big Ben and Buckingham Palace MOCs are outstanding. Nick Jensen also had the rare opportunity of witnessing Brickworld’s World of Lights as you can see from some of his shots below. You may visit Nick’s Flickr page for more images of Brickworld Chicago and its World of Lights.
