This latest LEGO Ideas set goes beyond the usual puzzle maze game by allowing players to build their own custom-made labyrinth by easily swapping maze plates without breaking the entire maze apart. So whether tweaking its level of difficulty, or to simply make it more fun, the flexibility that the LEGO Ideas Maze offers is simply exponential.

Jason goes out of his way to demonstrate this through one of the videos that he posted at his YouTube channel, JK Brickworks. He demonstrates how you can add another level of fun with your LEGO Ideas Maze by motorizing it. Watch this.

As you can see, Jason draws his inspiration for this customized maze by observing how mini-golf courses work. It features some dynamic obstacles powered by the tilt mechanism and a motorized windmill.

This is just one of the many examples that he offers over at this website on how you can play with the LEGO Ideas Maze. Whether you’re a beginner or an expert in your own terms, there’s a maze that will surely test your nerves of steel.

On a side note, if you happen to live in Canada and you’ll be nearby the Yorkdale LEGO Store in Toronto on Saturday, April 9, be sure to drop by and say hi to Jason. He’ll be there from 11AM to 3PM for some chat time and other cool activities. You can even bring your own LEGO Ideas Maze set and have it signed by Jason himself. Who knows, you may even get a tip or two from this LEGO master builder.
