Ahead of its much awaited release on May 1, LEGO’s Disney Collectible Minifigures (71012) has finally landed in the US and is now making its way into some local Target stores. Case in point is a post that was shared by alex_mk3 over at Reddit where he said that his local Target store in Denver, Colorado has offered to sell the said CMF and he himself was able to buy six of it. Here’s a snapshot of what he got from the blind bags.

Feeling his way on the bags for almost an hour, he was able to get a hold on Minnie and Mickey Mouse, Donald and Daisy Duck, Buzz Lightyear and the Pizza Planet Alien. Admittedly, alex_mk3 says that by far, the Disney CMF is the most difficult to feel the pieces. “Let me just start off by saying that I’ve collected all series since they came out and this is by far the most difficult to feel the pieces. Took me a whole hour just to find the six I bought,” alex_mk3 says. The photo below shows the barcode behind the packaging. One Reddit user pointed out that LEGO stopped using unique barcodes for each distinct minifig since after Series 1. As it seems, the best way to know what’s inside the blind bag is to feel your way onto them.

Further down the thread, it was also revealed that the DPCI indicated on the receipt was 204001379. DPCI, which stands for Department, Class, Item, is a convenient way to check and see if your local Target store has a specific item before heading out. However, a quick search using a Target Inventory Checker did not yield any positive finds.

Unfortunately by now, Target’s offering might have sold out already. According to alex_mk3, “They had about 20 left. Looks like they only had one box because I asked if they had more and they said no.”

Though we feel that some stores may have the LEGO Disney CMF already, we don’t necessarily recommend that we rush out for a frenzied search for these collectibles. If indeed Target has them in stock, it will be wise for them to hold back until May 1 arrives. In case you discover any similar finds in your local stores, be kind enough to let us know in the comments section below.
