It looks like we’ll be seeing more of Venomized LEGO sets for this year. Following the official reveal of the LEGO Marvel Spider-Man Venom Crawler (76163), there is still one particular Venom-inspired set that LEGO has been putting under wraps since it was first presented at the Nuremberg Toy Fair last month. But this time, the LEGO Booth at the New York Toy Fair 2020 pulls the veil from the LEGO Marvel Spider-Man Venomosaurus Ambush (76151) for all LEGO fans to see. Zusammengebaut is still reporting from the Javits Center, sharing to us the rest of this set’s details.

For starters, I’ve opted not to post the box art image of the LEGO Marvel Spider-Man Venomosaurus Ambush (76151) just to be on the safe side of things. If you refer back to Andres’ post, the box in question that was displayed at the toy fair has the dreaded “CONFIDENTIAL” watermark clearly placed on it. Though Andres claims that the embargo for this set has been probably lifted by now as of press time, I think I will be playing it safe here.

Furthermore, I have to correct my earlier post when I said that the LEGO Marvel Spider-Man Venomosaurus Ambush (76151) features a dinosaur mech similar to what you can find in the LEGO Jurassic World T. rex vs Dino-Mech Battle (75938) set. As it turns out, it seems to be a genetically modified dino whose embryo has been corrupted by the Venom symbiote. It also includes a smaller monster truck build, a dinosaur egg incubator, and four minifigures, plus a skeleton.

I love how the Venomized dino turned out actually, especially with its black and white color scheme. Though the venom plumes are made up of stickers, it doesn’t make this Venom Dino less menacing. However, I think LEGO Marvel fans will agree that one of the main selling points of this set is the inclusion of our first-ever Spider-Ham minifigure. The minifig itself comes with a new head mold and a hotdog accessory. The print on Spider-Ham’s head is pretty impressive, especially the details on its snout.

The LEGO Marvel Spider-Man Venomosaurus Ambush (76151) comes in at 640 pieces and is expected to be released on March 1st. There’s no mention of its retail price, but since the embargo is expected to be lifted soon, expect this set to be listed at LEGO Shop@Home any moments from now.
