Here’s another piece of news from the LEGO rumor mill. Summer is just around the corner and with it is the anticipation of new LEGO sets slated for the 2nd half of 2020. We know that there is an upcoming new LEGO Monkey Kid theme that caters to LEGO fans in the Asian region, and this time around another LEGO theme is speculated to arrive specifically targeted or designed for the AFOL market. Will LEGO Wall Art be the next big LEGO thing? Read on for more details.
Promobricks have recently shared some interesting insider info that shows that LEGO might have something in the works similar to its LEGO Personalised Mosaic Portrait (40179). Furthermore, it seems that LEGO will be adding more licensed themes to this particular line that most fans will find appealing. This rumor is not entirely new to be exact, and for quite some time, talks within LEGO fan forums point to something towards a Project Zebra which the LEGO Group presumably has been working on. Like other big companies working on a super-secret project, LEGO also has the penchant for using codenames to mask their on-going plans against prying eyes.
But with newer and more reliable info coming in, we also believe that this new LEGO Wall Art theme points to what Project Zebra is all about. Please take note, and I really can’t overemphasize it further, that we must take this with a grain of salt and treat it strictly as a rumor until such time that LEGO officially confirms it. With that out of the way, let’s take a look at what this new rumored theme has to offer.
According to brick intel, this rumored LEGO Wall Art theme will have an initial offering of four sets. Bear in mind that these are not their exact set names but rather, a description of what they have to offer.

Given that these sets are large enough to be somewhat like semi-mural type builds, then it would probably be comprised of several large LEGO plates as opposed to a single one. Its said that it will also come with its own mounting brackets, though it yet to be seen if these brackets will be made out of official LEGO pieces.

If these LEGO Wall Art theme turns out to be true, then it is another way for AFOLs to show their love and respect for the LEGO brick.
