This year marks the 100th year anniversary of Disney, and with LEGO as one of its most active global partners in promoting the House of Mouse, we can certainly expect plenty of interesting LEGO Disney sets in 2023 aside from the first wave of sets offered this month. So while we’re counting the months until October in celebration of Disney’s 100th year anniversary, let’s take a look at the top 10 most wanted LEGO Disney sets of all time.

Sorting through Brickset’s database reveals some interesting facts. Since 2012, LEGO has partnered with Disney to offer its first full LEGO sets under the Disney Princess theme. However, the partnership between the two extends as early as 1999 when LEGO introduced its very first Disney-inspired in the form of LEGO Duplo Pooh and his Honeypot (2981). Since then, there were several LEGO and Disney tie-in sets that were offered alongside the release of films such as Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, Toy Story, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Cars among others.

This 8-piece, LEGO Duplo set from 1999 was the very first Disney-inspired set that LEGO introduced.

2014 saw the launch of the LEGO Disney Princess sets that were offered to younger LEGO Disney fans. They featured minidoll versions of Rapunzel, Cinderella, and Ariel akin to the LEGO Friends theme. 2014 also somewhat defined the direction in which LEGO Disney sets are headed. And though Disney has broadened its film and content to include Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars, Disney still has a special place for its princesses and other classic characters.

So for this list of the 10 most wanted LEGO Disney sets of all time, we start our countdown in 2014 where LEGO puts the spotlight on some of the iconic Disney Princesses and the characters that we love and grew up with. There are also some sets that are based on more recent Disney characters that eventually caught the eye of LEGO Disney fans. Bear in mind that these sets were sourced from Brickset as reported owned and wanted by its registered members. Let’s take a look.

Just a disclaimer, this list by all means does not reflect the sentiment of the entire LEGO Disney fandom. However, it provides a hint at what could be at the top of the most wanted LEGO Disney sets for most of us. And some of these sets are still riding the waves of their popularity since the day they were announced. The LEGO Disney Castle (71040) and Disney Train and Station (71044) still enjoy the most favored spots on the top of the list, and it remains the same even after 6 years since it was introduced.
