Since the report that some Toys R Us stores has already been selling the much awaited LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series 16 (71013), there has been some fair degree of confusion going on what is the actual or official release date of this latest minifig series. There have been some initial reports that mention a September debut, alongside of the LEGO Disney Castle, as mentioned by CM4Sci over at Eurobricks.
However, there is a pretty good deal of evidence showing that most LEGO minifig collectors have already gotten their hands full with these latest LEGO minifigure collection, with some of them sharing their ‘feel guides’. Minifigure Price Guide and The Family Brick have both recently published their respective feel guides which we would like to summarize below. Noticeable pieces: the sword hilt and the turban, you have to feel these two together.
Cyborg
Noticeable pieces: the shoulder piece together with the gun is a clear hint.
Imp Costume Kid
Noticeable pieces: it’s the short legs, pitch fork, and wings that clearly points to this minifigure.
Spooky Boy
Noticeable pieces: just feel for the spider’s legs and the Spooky Tales book.
Hiker Guy
Noticeable pieces: the bulky backpack and the map tile must go together since the Pirate also has a map with him. For added measure, try to feel for the 1×1 tile piece.
Wildlife Photographer
Noticeable pieces: just feel for the penguin, camera, and hood.
Kickboxer
Noticeable pieces: the long hair, helmet, and 1×1 cylinder brick are absolute giveaways.
Pirate
Noticeable pieces: same as that of the Hiker Guy, feel for the Pirate’s map tile together with the sword.
Penguin Kid
Noticeable pieces: short legs AND penguin head and arms. Feel for the ice skates for added measure.
Rogue
Noticeable pieces: feel for the bow and arrow, PLUS the headpiece.
Dog Show Judge
Noticeable pieces: the dog and the trophy are all that you need to feel for in this one.
Serenader
Noticeable pieces: it’s got to be the hat and guitar definitely.
Spy
Noticeable pieces: feel for the dude’s spyglasses and the rope.
Banana Guy
Noticeable piece: the big, banana costume piece is certainly easy to feel.
Baby Sitter
Noticeable piece: it’s the baby and his baby bottle is all that you need to feel for, but added measure you may also try to feel for the head piece element which is unique to this minifigure.
