LEGO 2K Drive Officially Announced – Pre-Orders Now Up at LEGO.com

LEGO 2K Drive

Following the unintentional early reveal of some media outlets, LEGO has now officially revealed its latest open-world racing game, LEGO 2K Drive. This latest AAA driving adventure from LEGO and Take-Two Interactive Software will start rolling out on May 19, 2023. Watch the official reveal trailer below.

Besides the great partnership between LEGO and 2K, the former also collaborated with the prestigious supercar and hypercar company, McLaren Automotive, to ensure a thrilling and high-octane experience that LEGO and video game fans can expect from the virtual world of Bricklandia. If you recall, LEGO has just recently offered a LEGO Speed Champions McLaren Solus GT & McLaren F1 LM (76918) set this month, and it’s awesome to see that this set Speed Champions offering has its virtual counterpart in this latest LEGO video game.

According to LEGO’s official press release, here’s what we can expect from this latest LEGO video game.

A Vast Open World with a Captivating Storyline

You’ll enter the world of Bricklandia, where you’ll race across multiple unique biome regions. But this is not just any racing game. It is an open-world game where you can explore, discover, and race. The game has an engaging storyline that will keep you hooked for hours. You’ll compete against charismatic rivals and aim to win the coveted Sky Cup Trophy.

High-Octane LEGO Racing

The racing experience in LEGO 2K Drive is like no other. You’ll be racing on a broad range of tracks and taking advantage of unique power-up abilities that can transform your standing in the race with just one touch of a button. With its fast-paced, off-the-wall experience, it is a game that will keep your adrenaline pumping.

Unique Customization Options

LEGO 2K Drive offers players a diverse customization system that lets them build their own vehicles from scratch. With over 1,000 unique LEGO pieces available over the course of the game, players can create their own dream vehicles that suit their personalities and style. The game also offers a wealth of color designs, stickers, flairs, and more, allowing players to further personalize their vehicles.

Play Solo or Together

It offers both solo and multiplayer modes. Players can play with family and friends via local, 2-person split-screen or match online with other racers of similar skill levels. The game’s robust co-op and competitive multiplayer modes make it a perfect game for those who love to play with others.
