From the Rumor Mill: More Than 100 LEGO Sets To Watch Out For In 2019

LEGO's profits

Last week, we mentioned some of the 2019 LEGO Star Wars sets to watch out for, specially that this particular LEGO theme from a galaxy far, far away is about to celebrate its 20th anniversary next year.  However, things are looking good in 2019 not just for LEGO Star Wars, but also for the rest of the toy company’s themed play sets. Here’s a compilation of what we know so far about these rumored 2019 LEGO sets, indicating their speculated set names, set numbers and even their expected price tag if available.

Most of these rumored sets are said to be available sometime between January to February next year, and are generally considered to be a part of LEGO’s winter releases. Some of these 2019 LEGO sets also have images that are now circulating over social media, so these somehow confirms their availability later on. Do bear in mind, however, that even if these are based from reliable sources within the LEGO fan community, they are still basically rumors and we have to wait until November or December to get confirmation from LEGO if indeed these sets are happening.

    1. It certainly looks like LEGO’s train sets are now gaining steam (pun intended) among older LEGO fans, especially with the introduction of additional train track pieces (60205 and 60238) and the revamped LEGO Powered UP brand. We can reasonably expect that LEGO will take advantage of these developments and may even throw in a new LEGO train set next year.

  1. I thought they were discontinuing LEGO Elves – this summer, we had no LEGO Elves magazine despite having had it before. This is very sad.

    1. I was disappointed by that also, but worse, so was my 6 year old. She has every Elves set, has put them together herself and is devastated thinking it is over. When Netflix didn’t release a second season, but other shows of theirs got six “seasons” over the last year she really noticed. I love the Elves, there are so many more places they could go, so many story lines to pursue… I can’t believe they would shut it down so quickly. And without notifying the loyal fans what is going on.

      1. Hi there Whitney! Yes, I have to say that The LEGO Group has a way of ‘quietly’ pulling down a curtain on a particular, under performing theme. Though your observations are correct regarding the apparent lack of updates for the Elves theme, I would still like to wait for LEGO’s official statement. Let’s still hope for the best! 🙂

      2. I visited the new Lego store in Pittsburgh yesterday and inquired of the staff why there were no Elves sets on display. They responded that the theme was being discontinued. Very sad since my girls love Elves.

  2. Wow for the creator expert line, theres certainly a huge amount of sets coming. Quite excited for that.
Other than 10277 set which i have no idea what and why is there a huge jump in numbers, but i can certainly say 2019 is a good year for expert sets and that there is 1 set for each series. Look, everything fits in perfectly.

    (Just a sample)
    10264: Modular
    10265: Landmark Building
    10266: Vehicle
    10267: Free Fall Tower (Amusement)
    10268: Train
    10269: Winter set

    1. I think 10266 might be from some movie or TV show continuing the trend started last year. It is too early to speculate, but we’ll likely get something from a show in the states.
