Warner Bros. Pictures is fit to do what it can to make it a DC December with the premiere of its next installment in the DC Extended Universe, Aquaman starring Jason Momoa. LEGO too has done its part in promoting the hesitant heir to the throne of Atlantis with its early movie tie-in set LEGO DC Super Heroes Aquaman: Black Manta Strike (76095). And with the already available, LEGO has had time to think up a new promo gimmick for Warner-DC’s Aquaman ahead of its release. Not surprisingly, that comes in the form of a LEGO Aquaman minifigurization of the movie’s teaser poster.
First posed on LEGO’s Twitter page, the LEGO Aquaman poster is some expected for the DCEU-themed sets that LEGO has already released so far. This particular LEGO Aquaman minifig is standing (because they can’t “kneel” like Momoa in the original), but this LEGOlized version of the ruler of Atlantis is certainly has plenty of swag, surrounded by a host of LEGO sharks.

LEGO hasn’t made any peep on whether the LDCSH set Black Manta Strikes (76095) will be followed by more Aquaman-centric sets (but most probably it will be the only tie-in set for this movie, similar to the DCEU inspired Wonder Woman Warrior Battle 76075 set). It has been customary for LEGO to release a set for any of the ‘minor’ films of either the DCEU or MCU, with handful of sets reserved for the ‘major’ films such as the Justice League or Avengers: Infinity War.
The Aquaman film arrives in cinemas on December 21. Though DCEU films may seem to have its own brand of unpopular humor, director James Wan promises a great fun and action-packed superhero adventure that fully embraces both the high and lows of his character . We’ll just have to wait until then.
