LEGO Star Wars Death Star (75159) and Winter Holiday Train (10254) Now Available for VIPs.

It’s September 15, and as mentioned in LEGO’s October Store Calendar, the much awaited Winter Holiday Train (10254) and Star Wars Death Star (75159) is now available for purchase for all LEGO VIP members. Though some LEGO Star Wars fan were not really happy about the rehashed Death Star which takes cue from its predecessor the 10188, LEGO’s intention was to give opportunity for those collectors who missed out on the previous model to own the iconic, planet-zapping, Imperial weapon. Not much has been changed with the design of the Death Star itself, save for some new minifigures that were exclusively added to the set. As we reported previously, the new LEGO Star Wars Death Star (75159) comes in at 4,016 pieces, including 25 minifigures (plus RD-D2 and an Imperial Astromech) and will retail at $500.

The LEGO Creator Winter Holiday Train (10254) is the next D2C set that is geared towards fans of advanced train systems. It consists of 734 pieces, 16 curved track pieces which you can combine to make one circular track, and 5 minifigures. The Winter Holiday Train may also be upgraded with LEGO Power Functions (not included in the original set) to create a realistic motorized engine.
