Check Out This Custom Cover Sleeve for The Last Jedi Home Media

Tuesday, March 27, marks the release of Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi on physical media, namely DVD, Blu-Ray and Ultra HD Blu-Ray versions. Though it is divisive some with regards to its plot developments, nevertheless, it’s still an epic blockbuster of galactic proportions.

In order to celebrate both the home release of The Last Jedi, as well as the toy companies that have manufactured tie-in merchandise for the film, the official Star Wars website is offering four downloadable and printable custom DVD covers, recreating scenes from the movie using various Star Wars toys. created this neat gift to Last Jedi hardcopy buyers in collaboration with Jimmy Wu and Vesa Lethimaki, veteran toy photographers prominent on social media. The toys used for the vignette scenes featured on the covers are from Hasbro’s Star Wars: The Black Series…and of course, LEGO Star Wars too.

The Last Jedi custom cover in question appears to use the LEGO Star Wars set Ahch-to Island Training (75200). The vignette is set at night, with Luke Skywalker walking out of his hideaway to find Rey and an army of Porgs marching in from (apparently) the UCS Millennium Falcon (75192). You simply download the cover that you prefer (in PDF format) and print it in landscape.

Photographer Lethimaki has worked with LEGO before, his practiced camera eye providing the pictures for LEGO Star Wars: Small Scenes From A Big Galaxy, a hardcover coffee-table book from DK. His and Jimmy Woo’s covers need only to be downloaded from and printed, then slipped into the cover sleeve.

Now that this home release for The Last Jedi is done, full attention can now be turned to the upcoming Solo: A Star Wars Story, due to premiere in May. Tie-in LEGO sets for the movie will arrive on April 20, while Last Jedi sets remain available online and store-wide.
