LEGO Technic 2-in-1 Sets Arriving in 2019

LEGO Technic 2-in-1

It seems LEGO is taking their reveal of new Technic sets for 2019 in stages. Twice before in this week alone, two batches of upcoming LEGO Technic were revealed. The latter group included one set touted as a LEGO Technic 2-in-1, a model that could have two possible configurations at any time.

Wonder of wonders, we have another wave of LEGO Technic sets for 2019, and they’re both of the 2-in-1 style. That’s mighty generous of LEGO to have vehicle models that can be altered with a few pieces being changed around. And the re-configurations seem even more striking here than with the Remote-Controlled Stunt Racer (42095).

Tracked Loader (42094)

The set’s alternate 2-in-1 form is a tracked flatbed truck.

Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (42093)

You’re no fan of Bugatti or Porsche? Then what do you think about this racing Chevy that can be altered into a retro-style exposed-engine hotrod?

And apparently, there’s going to be more on the way for LEGO Technic as we head towards the end of 2017 2018. Come to think of it, with the Porsche and Chevy sets already announced, what are the chances that LEGO might replicate their life-sized Bugatti Chiron with any of the two? It’s a nice thought.

  1. Hi. Great article. Just wanted to point out that you mention “there’s going to be more on the way for LEGO Technic as we head towards the end of 2017”. I’m pretty sure you meant 2018 so, for posterity’s sake, you might want to change that. Keep the great articles coming!

    1. Hi there Greg! Thanks for your eagle-eye skills. It was a typo error, and we’ve updated the article to reflect the correct year… and to avoid any potential catastrophic repercussions to the time-space continuum, lol. 🙂 Thanks a bunch!
