Initially offered across all five LEGO stores in London at the start of the month, LEGO VIP fans of the iconic red bus can now have its brick-built counterpart, the LEGO Creator Expert London Bus (10258), beginning today. Now available both online and at all LEGO brand stores worldwide, the London Bus comes in at a minifig scale and is a faithful replication of the famous Routemaster bus with all the fine details and accessories very much close to the actual bus. In case you missed it, set designers Morten Graff-Wang and Jamie Berard were in London last July 1 and they shared some insights on how this magnificent came to be. It is interesting to see how this latest LEGO Creator Expert set was developed, with all its nifty references to the actual vehicle. The set also comes with plenty of never-before-seen pieces such as tires with standard tread, quarter bows and arches in red, and 1x1x1 A2/3 bricks with vertical studs.
The LEGO Creator London Bus (10258) comes in at 1,680 pieces and retails for US $139.99.
