LEGO Marvel Superheroes 2 Officially Announced – Will Be Available Across All Major Consoles, Including the Nintendo Switch.

A few moments ago, Traveller’s Tales and WB Games have announced the long awaited sequel to its Marvel-powered 2013 video game smash hit, LEGO Marvel Superheroes, with Baby Groot being on the spotlight (or should I say crossfire). The hit video game may be considered as the most successful, and best LEGO video game of its time, second only to the hilarious LEGO City Stories: Undercover. But given the huge popularity of the Marvel Cinematic Universe nowadays, and considering the recent box office success of the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, then it only naturally follows that a LEGO Marvel Superheroes 2 is in order.

LEGO Marvel Superheroes 2

Baby Groot may not be that happy as the rest of us, as he dodges Green Goblin’s explosive mayhem, but seeing the teaser trailer below sure got a lot of fans excited. Not only does the trailer promise a full reveal of the game on May 23, Tuesday next week, it was also announced that LEGO Marvel Superheroes 2 will be available across all major consoles, including the Nintendo Switch. Here’s what to expect.

Join your favorite Super Heroes and Super Villains from different eras and realities as they go head-to-head with the time-traveling Kang the Conqueror in an epic battle across Chronopolis, from Ancient Egypt and The Old West to Sakaar and New York City in 2099. Along the way, gamers will be able to take control of a host of iconic characters, from Cowboy Captain America from the past to Spider-Man 2099 from the future along with Thor, Hulk, the Guardians of the Galaxy, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, Green Goblin, and dozens of other Marvel Super Heroes and Super Villains.

The promotional poster for the game also hints that we will be seeing more MCU iterations of our favorite Marvel superheroes and villains. LEGO Marvel Superheroes 2 will also feature a four player multiplayer mode for a competitive four-way battle, somewhat similar to LEGO Dimensions’ Battle Arena. It will be available starting November 14, 2017 for the Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The game will be released for Nintendo Switch this holiday.
