LEGO Minecraft Teases on Its Largest Set Ever!

LEGO made a lot of waves at the start of this year with the reveal of its newest lineup of Minecraft sets first seen at the New York Toy Fair this year. Most of it has been released already since February and has been receiving a lot of positive reviews. However, there are three larger sets that are yet to be released once summer kicks in. Two of these have been revealed already at the NYTF which includes The Ocean Monument (21136) and The Crafting Box 2.0 (21135) sets, both of which will be released on August 1.

However, there is a third one that has been kept under wraps, and is now hinted to be the largest set ever made under the theme. Since LEGO Minecraft’s formal launch in 2014, the title of being the largest direct-to-consumer set belongs to The Village (21128) which was released only last year and comes with 1,600 pieces and 8 minifigures. However, this may soon change because earlier today, LEGO teased on an image via its Facebook page that hints on its next exclusive, and presumably, largest LEGO Minecraft set to date.

Base on its silhouette, the set seems to be The Mountain Cave (21137) which we learned about since February. As suggested by The Brick Fan, this set bears very close resemblance to what LEGO has in mind with their concept of the Overworld as seen in the images below.

Overworld Overworld 2

Whatever the case is, we are assured that this is THE largest Minecraft set that LEGO is yet to offer, with plenty of mobs and characters and play features. The Village (21128) is currently valued at $200, and from the looks of it, it will not be a long shot to consider a higher price point for The Mountain Cave (21137). Our best guess is that it could be at around $300 and at almost 3,000 pieces.
