LEGO Rebrick has recently announced their next contest, LEGO Technic Ultimate Contest: Build the Porsche of your Dreams.

Following the bold and maverick steps of Ferry Porsche, the renowned automobile engineer and founder of Porsche AG, LEGO Rebrick invites all similarly passionate builders to take on the challenge of building the Porsche of their dreams while giving it a distinct LEGO Technic look and feel. The contest is open to all, and entries can either be made of entirely LEGO Technic parts, LEGO System bricks, or even rendered in LEGO Digital Designer or LDD. Watch this video from Andrew Woodman, LEGO Technic’s Senior Design Manager as he gives us an overview of the LEGO Technic Ultimate Contest.

Submission of entries is only until August 1, 2016, 10PM CEST. There will be two rounds of competition where 1 grand prize winner will be determined out of the 20 semi-finalists that will make it to the first round. Semifinalists will be determined by three select judges from the LEGO Technic community, while the grand prize winner will be selected by Porsche AG’s very own Manager of the Historical Archive, Dieter Landenberger; Niels Henrik Horsted, Senior Manager LEGO Technic, and Andrew Woodman (Senior Design Manager LEGO Technic). In selecting the entries for each round, ALL of the judges will observe the following criteria:

Overall coolness and originality (25%)
Most inspired details and functions on the model (25%)
Understanding of the Porsche brand design and competition theme (25%)
Overall LEGO Technic look and feel of the model (25%)

So what prizes are at stake? For those who made it to the semi-finals, each of them will receive a limited edition, die cast model of the Porsche 911 GT3 RS scaled at 1:18, an exclusive  LEGO Technic Porsche 911 GT3 RS (42056) signed by LEGO designer Uwe Wabra , plus a certificate of winning. The Grand Prize winner on the other hand will also receive the same prizes as mentioned above, PLUS an all expense paid trip from one’s home country to visit the Porsche Museum, and an exclusive guided tour of the Porsche Museum and the Porsche production facilities in Stuttgart, Germany.
