This is the week when Marvel Studios’ Black Panther will finally make its cinematic premiere, and true to form, its various multimedia tie-ins have done their work as well, far in advance. That of course include multiple LEGO tie-in sets available since last year, as well as a new DLC for LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2.
Warner Bros. Interactive and Travellers’ Tales have announced the latest additional content for the largely popular LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 video game title. Following the comic book-themed Champions DLC pack, it’s all about the MCU Black Panther film this time, with new costumes, characters and game levels included.
The Black Panther DLC for LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 will offer both a Character and Level Pack where players will have access to characters such T’Challa/Black Panther, Shuri, Dora Milaje general Okoye, and the film’s antagonist, Erik Killmonger. The DLC also allows you to relive and play through key moments of the movie.
The Black Panther DLC for LMSH2 is expected to go online this Tuesday, February 13, and will be available for separate purchase for $2.99 if you previously bought a standard version of LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 game. On the other hand, it comes for free for those who opted to purchase the game’s Deluxe Edition, which also happens to come with a bonus LEGO Giant-Man minifigure.
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 was released in November of last year, highlighting several characters from the recent MCU film, Thor: Ragnarok, as part of the base game’s initial character roster and playable levels.
