Release Date of LEGO Technic Bugatti Chiron (42083) Moved Earlier from August to June

You can tell from their Speed Champions line of car models that LEGO is also a big fan of awesome race cars from some of the greatest manufacturers in the world. You need only look at their Speed Champions 2018 lineup to know the strength of LEGO’s partnership with said brands.

But there are other lines outside Speed Champions where LEGO can show its awesome admiration for cars. Take for instance their magnificent model of the Bugatti Chiron on the LEGO Technic line, set 42083. It was first shown at the Nuremberg Toy Fair last January, set to release August 1.

Or at least that was the original date. As it turns out, LEGO has updated the Bugatti Chiron (42083) information on their official website’s Technic sub-page. Now it’s slated for release on June 1, a full two months ahead of the first schedule. Gear head LEGO collectors, get your wallets ready.

To hammer home just how detailed LEGO’s Technic model for the Bugatti Chiron is, consider the scale. It’s 1:8 or a mere 8 times smaller than the real car itself. With 3,599 pieces in all, the sheer complexity is mind-boggling, and at 369.99 Euros, it’ll set buyers back a lot.

The Bugatti Chiron (42083) is the second model from LEGO Technic’s Ultimate subtheme, following the already-released Porsche 911 GT3 RS (42056). You may check out LEGO’s video about the Bugatti Chiron below, so you can consider if the quality of it is worth the hefty investment of its purchase price.
