Warner Bros, Interactive Entertainment has recently announced the release of the remastered LEGO Harry Potter Video Game Collection coming to Playstation 4. According to WB, the rehashed volume combines both Harry Potter games from Years 1-4 and Years 5-7 as seen from the books and films.
As it seems, LEGO and Warner Bros seem to amp things up with the Harry Potter video games considering that they also have J.K. Rowling’s wizarding world under LEGO’s toys-to-life umbrella, with the LEGO Dimensions Harry Potter Team Pack (71247). Take a look at LEGO’s official press release below.
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment Announces the LEGO Harry Potter Collection for PlayStation4.
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and TT Games today announced the LEGO® Harry Potter™ Collection, bringing LEGO® Harry Potter™: Years 1-4 and LEGO® Harry Potter™: Years 5-7 to the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system for the first time with both top-selling videogames remastered on one disc.
Launching on October 18 in North America and October 21, 2016 in Europe, this compilation unites the creative prowess of LEGO ® and the expansive world of Harry Potter, with an exciting journey full of spell-casting, potion-making, puzzle-solving, lessons, dueling and much more for players young and old to enjoy. Gamers can experience the entire LEGO Harry Potter adventure featuring content from seven books and eight films, with enhanced graphics, environments, lighting and visual effects, along with two downloadable content (DLC) packs. Sure to delight fans of J.K. Rowling’s ever-expanding Wizarding World, the LEGO Harry Potter Collection serves as a perfect gift for those eagerly anticipating the upcoming film, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Frankly speaking, it would be nice if LEGO can throw in some exclusive minifigs together with this 2-in-1 game bundle to make it more appealing. With TLG’s recent moves of releasing rehashed sets like that of the LEGO Star Wars Death Star 75159 and LEGO Star Wars Assault on Hoth 75098 (both of which have gained a rather notorious reputation), fans will be happier (and less disappointed) if LEGO can bring something new to the table.
The Playstation 4 Remastered LEGO Harry Potter Video Game Collection is now available for pre-order over at Amazon, retailing for $50 and with an expected release date of October 18.
