Something BIG is Coming In September – And We’re Now Getting Closer to What It Is.

We’re still a month away before this year’s much awaited Force Friday II, but bits and pieces of information are now gradually making its way online about this year’s largest Star Wars sales event. LEGO is prepped up and ready to go for all things Star Wars once September 1 breaks the light of day, particularly, with its latest offering of LEGO Star Wars sets based on Episode VIII: The Last Jedi. Images of these sets are already out in the open, thanks to several online retailers who posted it ahead of its official reveal date.

Much of the speculation that revolves around this theme centers on the highly circulated news (or rumor if you prefer it that way) that massive LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon is slated to return this September. The Internet is certainly rife with this piece of news, with so many LEGO Star Wars fans clamoring for the UCS set’s return. Since the news (or rumor) broke out, there was no solid proof to back up the claim, with only pieces of ‘circumstantial’ evidences that seem to point to the massive set’s return. However, a recent teaser given by prolific LEGO Star Wars set designer Hans Burkhard Schlömer, has set ablaze the LEGO landscape once again with him hinting on a much, much, much, much, much, much larger set to be revealed on September 1st. This is the first clue that gave rise to another wave of speculations that we are indeed closer to the famed brick-built starship that made the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs.

This time, I can just imagine how jaw-dropping the next teaser was since this time, LEGO finally speaks out about this very much (6x) larger set. Posted on its official Twitter account, LEGO teased on the arrival of a humongous set, almost 5x larger than its recently released LEGO Creator Expert London Bus (10258).

Riding the waves of further speculation, several fans used their ‘investigative’ skills in prying open this mystery that LEGO has thrown in. Some even tweaked the above photo to ‘reveal’ how the Falcon’s box art is hidden under the wrappings. I’m not really sure if such photo enhancements are reliable but one thing is for sure: LEGO promises more reveals during the next few days especially that we’re closer to next month’s Force Friday II sales.

What’s your take on this Brick Fans? Is this the Falcon that we all so want to see? Let us know in the comments below, or share us a thought or two over at our Facebook page.
