LEGO Star Wars Rebels A-Wing Pilot 5004408 Minifigure Reappears In The Philippines – and Much More!

News has been quite slow recently, but a trip to our local LEGO Certified Store here in the Philippines (one of the two in fact) was about to change all of that. OK, I know it may sound a bit exaggerated but the nerdist AFOL in me couldn’t pass this one out. If you remember a couple of months ago, we featured one of the most recent LEGO Star Wars minifigure promotional that is levelling up in terms of popularity. A quick browse over at Bricklink hints on the idea that the LEGO Star Wars Rebels A-Wing Pilot (5004408) polybag is slowly gaining a following, and the said minifig from the Star Wars Rebels theme is becoming a desired collectible.

So imagine my excitement when I saw this ad posted at the counter of our local LEGO Certified Store in Bonifacio Global City, Manila. The store’s staff was also kind enough to let me hold and snap a photo of the actual Star Wars Rebels A-Wing Pilot polybag. Pardon me for the poor image, it seems that my phone’s camera doesn’t stand a chance against the warm glow of the LEGO Store.

The good thing is that the store’s Facebook page has posted the complete promotional regarding this. Here’s a better copy.

As mentioned in the store’s ad, the exclusive LEGO Star Wars Rebels A-Wing Pilot (5004408) polybag comes free for every minimum, single receipt purchase of Php 3,499 (roughy equivalent to $70) of any LEGO products. You may have noticed the slightly higher price point as compared to last June’s LEGO Brand Stores promotional in the US that ran only for two days from June 4 to 5. However, if you noticed in the ad, it mentions TWO free minifigs per customer for the said qualifying purchase, PLUS the fact that the Star Wars Rebel A-Wing Pilot promotional in the Philippines runs on a longer period which is roughly two weeks until supplies last. I’ve confirmed this with the store’s staff, and the promo is perfectly legit. It is a freebie that is too tempting to pass and I have until the end of the month to cross my fingers.

Just a side note: it was also a great day visiting the LEGO Store in BGC since we’re just in time for their LEGO Mosaic Building Workshop, where kids ages 7 to 14 were taught on how to come up with their own brick-built mosaics of the Caped Crusader’s logo. I have to be honest, I never thought LEGO mosaic building can be a very daunting task! It seems like a walk in the park when Jason did his Deadpool, Bane, and Mickey Mouse Tsum Tsum mosaics out of LEGO bricks, but it was absolutely fun nevertheless.

It was also a perfect time to visit the store because other than the A-Wing Pilot minifig, they’re also having a make-and-take-home promotional were children ages 4-14 can have a FREE LEGO Creator Tiger (30285) that comes with any LEGO purchase. They’re also having the usual Monthly Mini Build promotional, and for the month of October they’re giving  away for FREE a LEGO Creator School Bus (40216). Unlike in LEGO Brand Stores in the US and other parts of Europe where you need to pre-register using your LEGO ID, the LEGO Certified Stores both in BGC and Alabang Town Center in the Philippines does not require any preregistration as you can see from their ad below.

The store is also pretty much updated with regards to the most recent releases such as the LEGO Star Wars Rogue One sets, LEGO City Volcano Explorers, LEGO Mixels Series 9, and the Disney and Series 16 Collectible Minifigures. I’m proud to say that after an hour of feeling my way through countless blind bags, I finally landed on my much-awaited LEGO Disney Stitch minifig! They also have on display several hard-to-find LEGO Creator sets such as the Fairground Mixer (10244), Brick Bank (10251), and the Detective’s Office (10246). There’s also a couple of seasonal themed sets available just in time for Halloween and Christmas, such as the Trick or Treat Halloween Set (40122),  Halloween Bat (40090), Santa’s Visit (40125), and Snowman (40093).

He finally landed on my desk – welcome home Stitch!

So if you happen to be in the Philippines, or you and the family is planning to visit the country for a vacation, especially that the holiday season is just around the corner be sure to check out our very own LEGO Certified Stores in BGC and ATC. Just head over to their Facebook page for more info, or simply pay a visit to the store and approach  their friendly and accommodating store staff.
