After an initial teaser on what to expect from the upcoming LEGO Trolls theme, the LEGO Group has now revealed its line-up of new LEGO Trolls minifigures as part of its partnership with Dreamworks’ animated sequel, Trolls World Tour. The reveal was made via LEGO’s social media channels, and I have to say that they are quite a colorful bunch.

I’m not really a fan of the first Trolls movie but seeing how LEGO took the time in coming up with a pretty decent collection of new LEGO Trolls minifigures for the film’s upcoming sequel, gives this series a character of its own. These new minifigs are very much kaleidoscopic in form as their tie-in animated characters.
Though these minifigs may not sport the iconic Trolls hairdo that made them popular in the 80s, the way LEGO came up with these new minifig heads turned out to be pretty impressive. There are plenty of new minifigure parts included in this theme and based on this first look, we can assume that there maybe 2 or 3 LEGO Trolls sets slated for next year. As of now, LEGO gave us a glimpse at 8 minifigure versions of the characters from the film and hopefully, we’ll see more LEGO Trolls characters as we close the last quarter of the year.
There is no official word yet on when the upcoming LEGO Trolls sets will be released, but given that the Trolls World Tour animated movie is slated for a theatrical release on April 17, 2020, we can somehow expect that these will be a part of LEGO’s January 2020 releases.

And in case you somehow missed it, check out the latest trailer for the Trolls World Tour film, and be sure to stay tuned here on The Brick Show for more updates on this new LEGO theme.
