By now, you might be aware already that the recently revealed LEGO Vidiyo theme is also getting a pretty neat line-up of minifigures called LEGO Vidiyo Bandmates (43101). Now listed over at LEGO Shop@Home, this new series of minifigures consists of 12 characters that come with a variety of seemingly random 2×2 tile pieces called BeatBits. But what could pose as a challenge for LEGO minifigure collectors is the fact that the LEGO Vidiyo Bandmates does not come packaged in the typical blind bag fashion that we are all used to, but instead comes in its first-ever boxed packaging. Feeling your way through this series is certainly not an option anymore.

However, thanks to our friend Lukas from Stone Wars, we can now have an idea of what we can expect from the LEGO Vidiyo Bandmates’ box distribution, and hopefully zero-in on the characters that we wish to get.
First off according to Lukas, the unopened larger box packaging contains exactly 24 boxes of the LEGO Vidiyo Bandmates minifigures. And we can be assured that we can get two complete series out of this.
As I’ve mentioned earlier, having these cardboard boxes for this series’ packaging virtually eliminates our chances of feeling our way in these minifigs like we’ve always done. Though I may not be exactly happy with LEGO’s choice of packaging here, I understand the company’s decision to forego the usual plastic polybags consistent with its goals of promoting sustainability.
Now the only question is, is there a way to find out which LEGO Vidiyo Bandmates minifigure are we going to get based on its distribution in an unopened box? And based on what we are seeing from Stone Wars, then it might be such the case. According to this image shared by Lukas, then we might have a pretty good grasp of what to expect.

If we can expect LEGO to be consistent with their packaging similar to their previous CMF series, then we can be sure that other than having two complete series in each box, we can also expect to get exactly two copies of the same minifigure placed side by side. Of course, this is assuming that what we have is an unopened box, to begin with. So if you’re looking at it from the top, we can expect to have:
- Werewolf Drummer
- Red Panda Dancer
- Discowboy
- DJ Cheetah
- Samurapper
- Shark Singer
- Banshee Singer
- Cotton Candy Cheerleader
- Genie Dancer
- Alien Keytarist
- Bunny Dancer
- Ice Cream Saxophonist
We’re not sure at this time if LEGO intends to continue this form of cardboard packaging for its minifigures. I guess that it might only be for this particular series of LEGO Vidiyo Bandmates, but we just have to wait and see in the next few months.
Special thanks once again to Lukas of Stone Wars.
The stone wars picture is pretty spot on except the positions were reversed
I read as the wolf drummer being at the front and the Ice Cream guy at the back. When I went to test this with a somewhat unopened box 2/3 were right. ( the last one was wrong most likely due to people messing thing around lol )
Thank you so much, I was dreaded to hear this, but this guide 100% worked. Got my Cotton Candy Cheerleader, first try.
