Right as January came to an end, we’ve been seeing a flood of details for upcoming LEGO sets. Among the fairly recent online product listings are the first items for LEGO Technic this 2022, due in March. Some of these Technic sets got the spotlight in the late 2021 LEGO product catalog. We have however seen rumors of these sets (number and name) as early as September–October last year. And some of those sets have yet to be officially revealed. That’s true of one Technic set until this past weekend, after a LEGO teaser on social media according to Promobricks.

LEGO’s Twitter page posted an image of two vehicles covered in canvas Friday last week. From the contours of both and the size of one, they’re obviously a Formula-1 racecar and its Technic counterpart. Now LEGO confirms in a product listing that this is Technic set 42141, the McLaren Formula 1 Race Car. To be precise, this is the MCL36 F1 racer that McLaren will be unveiling this Friday, February 11. It’s fitting that the Technic version will launch the month following the real thing’s unveiling. Expect the Technic McLaren F1 Racecar (42141) in March 1 alongside the other Technic 2022 sets. Here’re the details:
