We’re just a few days away before the highly anticipated, live action rendition of Disney’s, Beauty and the Beast, hits theaters this Friday. In tribute to the beloved Disney animated classic, professional LEGO brick artist Kevin Hall took upon himself to translate his love for the film and turn it into a breathtaking replica of the Beast’s castle as seen in the original 1991 movie.
In an interview with Beyond the Brick’s Joshua Hanlon during Brick Live Birmingham 2016, Kevin shared how this enormous, 7-foot (2.2 meters) brick-built castle was made in six months using half a million LEGO pieces. Several LED lights and moving parts were also installed in this gigantic MOC. For the characters, Kevin opted to use the minidoll versions of Belle and the Beast as seen in LEGO Disney Princess Belle’s Enchanted Castle (41067). Disney’s live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast hits theaters on March 17, starring Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, Luke Evans, and Josh Gad.
