The last LEGO Store Calendar of the year is now officially out in the US. Though LEGO has its usual freebies lined up for the month, I have to say that I am not really looking forward to them except probably for the re-run of the LEGO Creator Mini London Bus (40220) offered from December 8-17, and the highlight of December’s promotionals which is the commemorative LEGO Star Wars Darth Vader Anniversary Pod (5005376). There’s also another round of Double VIP points from December 8-10 so that is something to look forward to as well.
However, there is still another reason to be excited about all things LEGO – and you don’t even have to wait until December. The second page of the December LEGO Store Calendar highlights some of the 2018 LEGO City, Creator, Ninjago and Technic sets that we featured a few days ago, and included in the calendar, quite unexpectedly, is one LEGO Nexo Knights set that is also slated to debut during the first half of next year. We had our first glimpse of Axl’s Rolling Arsenal (72006) from the recent issue of LEGO Life Magazine, and this time around, we get to see another LEGO Nexo Knights set together with a brief description of its play features. The LEGO Nexo Knights Berserker Bomber (72003) offers us a brief background on who or what the next evil baddies that our heroes will be faced with. On a personal note, I find next year’s line-up of LEGO Creator sets more appealing exciting. I’m looking forward to the Modular Skate House, together with the Quake Mech, and the Berserker Bomber. Check out these set descriptions below.
LEGO City Mountain Arrest (60173)
Hop in the police helicopter and search for the crooks in their mountain hideout! Load the net launcher while you hover over the hideout and your partner rappels down beside the surprised crook. Go a bit lower and aim the net at the other crook trying to escape in the buggy.
LEGO Creator Modular Skate House (31081)
Have an awesome day at the Modular Skate House, complete with ramp, monkey bars, climbing wall, scooter, skateboard and 2 minifigures. Rebuilds into a Games Arcade or a Skate Park.
LEGO Ninjago Movie Quake Mech (70632)
Rescue TV reporter Fred Finley from the shark army! Jump into the cockpit and wheel into action. Team up with Misako to protect Fred from Mike the Spike. Then unfold the Quake Mech’s massive shoulder loudspeakers and shoot soundwaves to defeat the evil shark army!
LEGO Nexo Knights Berserker Bomber (72003)
Prepare for high-flying action with the Berserker Bomber, featuring a detachable winged eye, dual 6-stud tech infection shooters and movable wings, plus a detachable Vyro Suit for the MechaByter. Attach the jet pack to Macy and send Berserker flying back to Monstrox!
LEGO Technic Racing Yacht (42074)
Celebrate maritime ingenuity with this cool Racing Yacht, featuring a sporty color scheme, sails with lines and winches, detailed hull and a working rudder with wheel and tiller steering. This sturdy 2-in-1 advanced building set can be rebuilt to create a highly detailed Catamaran.
