London Launch Event of LEGO Ideas TRON Legacy Light Cycle (21314) Set for March 29

Last week, LEGO finally started serious promotion of their next upcoming LEGO Ideas set, the TRON Legacy Light Cycle (21314). From its box art preview to a cool 3D-animated teaser, it’s all systems go towards building a great consumer hype for this sweet new set coming out later this year.

But what if you don’t have to wait for “later this year”? What if you can get the Ideas TRON Legacy Light Cycle (21314) as early as the end of this month? Fans in the UK are in for a treat; they’re playing host for the set’s official launch event.

This March 29, at London’s Leicester Square LEGO Store, the British design team of BrickBrosUK – which submitted the LEGO Ideas Light Cycle project, based on the 2010 film TRON Legacy – will be making an appearance as the guests of honor for the launch event. You know what that means: autograph opportunity!

Just like with previous LEGO Ideas set launches, the BrickBrosUK team will be ready to autograph advance purchases of their Light Cycle (21314) sets for eager buyers, making each box a collectors’ item. Do note however that they’ll be in the Leicester LEGO Store only for 4-7 PM GMT.

The LEGO Ideas TRON LEGACY Light Cycle (21314) is composed of the light cycle model itself, a brick base, and three minifigures (Sam Flynn, Quorra and Clu) in one full-to-the-brim package. Its release will follow in the wake of the previous Ideas set, Flagship Leviathan: Ship in a Bottle (21313).

  1. Do you think it will be on limited stock? I’m thinking about getting a train from Chester to London, but I don’t want to go all that way and not get one!
