There has been much speculation and rumors that have appeared recently regarding the much talked about 2018 LEGO Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts 2 sets, and last week, we reported on five, still yet to be confirmed sets. Three of which were said to showcase three ‘general’ Harry Potter sets while 2 are tie-ins for the upcoming Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. These are, at its best, rumors and should be considered as purely speculative – until now.
Brick Show has received intel from a reliable source that these rumored LEGO Harry Potter sets are indeed part of the summer wave of releases that LEGO has in store, few months before the release of the Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald in November. For reference, here are the set numbers with no official set names yet as of this writing. I also included the size of the set so you can have a better idea on their relative sizes.
2018 LEGO Harry Potter Sets
- 75950 – Confidential LEGO Harry Potter (19.1 x 14.1 x 4.6 cm)
- 75953 – Confidential LEGO Harry Potter (48 x 28.2 x 7.4 cm)
- 75954 – Confidential LEGO Harry Potter (48 x 37.8 x 7.1 cm)
2018 LEGO Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald
- 75951 – Confidential LEGO Fantastic Beasts (26.2 x 14.1 x 4.8 cm)
- 75952 – Confidential LEGO Fantastic Beasts (38.2 x 26.2 x 5.7 cm)
Again, these are expected to be released in August which also corresponds to release dates that we saw earlier regarding the Summer LEGO Star Wars and Technic sets. What is interesting to note is the size of set 75954 being the largest among these. It should be noted that such dimensions are somehow similar to the Death Star (75159) and Taj Mahal (10256) in terms of their height. If this is indeed the rumored Hogwarts Great Hall, then it is not difficult to imagine the possibility of a D2C set in such a scale.
So I guess this is the sort of ‘unofficial’ confirmation that everyone is raring to hear. It’s just a matter of time before we can finally have their complete set names and hopefully some images once the New York Toy Fair 2018 kicks in.

Are those sizes for the box? Or the built set?
The dimensions listed above for 75954 are the same as the SW TLJ Resistance Bomber (75188) box. 75953 is like the latest Y-wing (72172) but a deeper box. For comparison, the latest system-scale Falcon (75105) comes in a box that is 58.2 x 37.8 x 8.7 cm.
