The Fastest Man on Earth has had his turn on the most recent LEGO DC Super Heroes animated direct-to-video film; now it’s Aquaman’s turn. Sure, the Justice League’s also in on the action like with Flash’s movie, but without a doubt, the King of Atlantis is the hero this time.
DC, Warner Bros. Animation and LEGO have another movie coming in the form of LEGO DC Super Heroes: Aquaman – Rage of Atlantis. The DTV film’s already listed on Amazon, albeit without a release date yet. This is the latest LEGO DC animated adventure, and it comes with the expected extras.
Said extra is, naturally, a LEGO DC Super Hero minifigure, in this case the Jessica Cruz Green Lantern which we reported a couple of months ago. There were speculations back then that this particular iteration of the Green Lantern will be available as a freebie together with another DK book. However, this announcement is already set in stone, with Jessica Cruz having a minifigure of her own both physically and on home video.
For non-comic book readers, Jessica is one of the more recent additions to the Green Lantern Corps as of 2014, and she’ll maker her first movie appearance in Rage of Atlantis.
The movie sees Aquaman on the job to protect his underwater kingdom of Atlantis from the impending threat of Atrocitus and the Red Lantern Corps. Of course, he’ll have the help of the Justice League to do just that, with Jessica Cruz as their Green Lantern member this time around.
Green Lantern Jessica Cruz will be the minifigure extra on both the DVD and Blu-Ray (link above) release of Rage of Atlantis, which is expected to be released this summer. Check out the images below as previously listed on eBay.
