Following the announcement of another partnership between LEGO and Lucasfilms to come up with a new brickified, galaxy-spanning adventure, and a glimpse of the official images of two of the latest starships in the LEGO Star Wars theme – the LEGO Star Wars Star Scavenger 75147 and LEGO Star Wars Eclipse Fighter 75145, Disney XD has finally confirmed the launch date of another animated series that will drive us into a hyperspace of good ‘ol LEGO fun. This time, we’ll join in the action together with the rest of the wacky Freemaker family, as LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures launches on Disney XD in June. Making their debut right after the insanely funny Disney XD shorts, LEGO Star Wars: The Resistance Rises, the Freemaker Adventures will have a new episode every day from Monday, June 20 until Thursday, June 23. Watch this:
Set between the events of Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back and Episode VI: Return of the Jedi from the original Star Wars trilogy, it follows the Freemakers, a family of sibling scavengers who operate a salvage and repair shop in space. As described in the above video,
“The series stars three Freemaker siblings who scour the galaxy for useful debris that they use to build new vehicles of their own design. Rowan, the spunky Force-sensitive 12-year-old with a thirst for adventure, is voiced by newcomer Nicolas Cantu. His quick-witted older sister, Kordi, voiced by Vanessa Lengies (Glee), manages the family business and is the glue that holds the family together. Ace pilot and charming rogue, Zander, voiced by Eugene Byrd (Arrow), is the oldest brother and the family’s self-proclaimed starship connoisseur.”
