We always try to bring you all the LEGO news that’s fit to share here, but these past days the only bit of news that gets talked about is the official reveal of LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle (71043), and all the nitty-gritty details and secrets its micro-scale structure holds. There’s really not much more to tell about 71043 that hadn’t been told before. It arrives on August 15 for LEGO VIP members, and September 1 for everybody else. The set’s already listed on shop.LEGO.com too. But perhaps this little update warrants attention: some LEGO brand stores are now accepting pre-orders for the LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle (71043). Reports have been coming in from LEGO shoppers that certain LEGO brand stores they’ve been to lately have notices put up at their front doors. The message, apparently, is quite clear: “Ask us about how to Pre-Order our new Exclusive.”
Our fellow LEGO news source, The Brick Fan,has also picked up on this news. On their official Facebook page, at least one happy LEGO fan has confirmed that his local LEGO Store has been accepting pre-orders for the LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle (71043), with a receipt snapshot to prove it. It’s real.
This would have to be one of the nicest things LEGO has done for the fans yet. Now, the only thing left to clarify is if the 71043 preordering is good for all LEGO Stores or just a select few. We suggest Potter-fans who want this epic set contact their nearest LEGO Store in their area for confirmation.
Just a few minutes ago, LEGO Shop@Home servers uploaded several official images of the LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle (71043) – a very impressive brick rendition of the most famous landmark in all of Harry Potter universe. It’s finally here! LEGO Harry Potter fans rejoice, for LEGO has now updated their servers to include a huge stash of high res images of the much awaited LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle (71043). Rumors were up in the air since last month on what we can possibly expect from this set, most noticeable is the speculation that the set will weigh in at more than 6,000 pieces making it possibly the largest LEGO HP set to date. However, the speculations can finally end since the Hogwarts Castle (71043), as predicted, indeed comes in a mammoth size of 6,020 pieces.
What is also interesting in this LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle (71043) set is the fact that this is also the very first LEGO HP set to contain all of Hogwarts’ Founding Fathers (or parents for that matter in the case of Helga Hufflepuff and Rowena Ravenclaw) in their respective minifigure forms.
I guess the downside of such a huge set is on how to keep the build in scale with regards to its characters. I think this is the reason why LEGO opted to have it scaled to nanofigs instead. Based on the images below, it seems that each part of the castle portrays a memorable scene from Harry Potter films, much like how LEGO did it before with the Disney Castle (71040)
The Hogwarts Castle (71043) is not yet officially listed in shop.LEGO.com or any of its regional portals. But we can be rest assured that they will be updated very soon to include their official product description so that we can have a better grasp at the set’s play features. For the mean time, let’s enjoy these images.
It seems that LEGO still has something in store for DC and Justice League fans. The LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes Knightmare Batman Accessory Set (853744) has now been listed at shop.LEGO.com, and is scheduled to be available in September. It features another rendition of the Dark Knight based on the scene where Batman had an apocalyptic vision of a world ruled by fear from a raging Superman, as seen from the DCEU film Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice. This particular Batman minifigure sports the sand brown trench coat he is seen wearing in that particular scene. Here’s a closer look at the said minifig.
The LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes Knightmare Batman Accessory Set (853744) has 46 pieces, including two Parademons and some pieces to build a turret, and will retail for $12.99. Here’s the official product description for your reference. I reckon that this accessory set will be a hit for Batman minifig collectors once it is made available in September 1. To be honest, I lost count already on how many LEGO Batman minifig variants are out there to the extent that I feel the LEGO DC Super Heroes theme is quite over saturated of it already. But I guess having a LEGO Knightmare Batman minifig can be a forgivable exception.

Earlier last month, we have our first teaser for the arrival of the next Disney-inspired LEGO BrickHeadz set dedicated to the duo that started it all. It has been long overdue, especially that a substantial number of these relatively new LEGO BrickHeadz collectibles have been dedicated to mostly, well, Disney brands and titles. Though we’ve known about this upcoming set for quite some time already, LEGO officially teased on their arrival just earlier last month. And this time around, thanks to Brickset, we now have reports that the LEGO BrickHeadz Mickey (41624) and Minnie (41625) are now available for sale at certain Toys R Us stores in Canada.
The above image of this LEGO BrickHeadz Minnie set was snapped by a Brickset forum member, which is reportedly available for retail at TRU Canada stores. The LEGO BrickHeadz Mickey (41624) and Minnie (41625) comes in at 109 and 129 pieces respectively, each expected to retail for $10 each, and slated to arrive in LEGO Stores and shop.LEGO.com starting August. If you’re raring to have these latest BrickHeadz sets ahead of their official release date in the US, then you may want to check out this particular eBay listing for details. Here is a closer look at their respective box arts as posted on the auction site.
I’m not really a fan of the BrickHeadz line, but I find some of their design and building techniques quite interesting. The design for Minnie’s skirt for this matter is quite amusing. I like how the designers figured out a way of recreating it in LEGO, but it’s quite unnatural that her hands seem to pass through the sides of her skirt. I would like to see also how the couple’s ears were mounted on the sides of their heads. In any case, these newest LEGO BrickHeadz Mickey (41624) and Minnie (41625) pair is expected to be a hit among fans of the theme, especially that their release marks the 90th anniversary of Disney’s most longstanding and iconic cartoon character.
I’ll keep you posted on these new sets once more information is available.

We also get a first look at film’s villain, Black Manta, to be portrayed in Aquaman by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, as well as his trademark Manta sub.
