LEGO Marvel Hulkbuster (76210) Officially Revealed

Earlier this week, an Indonesian-certified LEGO store put doubts to rest regarding a big LEGO Marvel set. Teased as early as last year, the rumored set would be a more extensive take on Iron Man’s Hulkbuster mecha armor. Keeping with this reissue, the new Hulkbuster would be marketed under the LEGO Marvel Infinity Saga sub-theme. We could think of this as the LEGO Marvel counterpart to LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series (UCS). With the reveal, it seemed a matter of time before LEGO officially chimed in on LEGO Marvel Hulkbuster (76210). And indeed, we didn’t need to wait.

As told us by Promobricks.de, LEGO Marvel’s Infinity Saga Hulkbuster (76210) now has a LEGO Shop online product listing. This veritable age 18+ LEGO set is a love letter to the Infinity Saga of the MCU film franchise. With its impressive piece count, collectors can expect plenty of action-posing fun accented by three light-up pieces. The IS Hulkbuster even comes with a Tony Stark minifig and specs plate, well worth the $549.99 asking price. LEGO Marvel 76210 is a must-have ahead of the Holiday season rush, thanks to its November 9 launch date. Without further ado, the product blurb:

Here’s a First Look at the New LEGO Marvel Hulkbuster (76210)

It can be surprising how long some LEGO-related speculative news and rumors could linger until substantiated or debunked. Just as 2021 ended, we heard of a possible LEGO Marvel set for 2022. It was supposed to be another take on the Hulkbuster, the mecha-sized add-on to Tony Stark’s Iron Man armor. This sweet machine was already LEGO-fied in 2018 as Hulkbuster: Ultron Edition (76105). Other rumors regarding this set were that it was actually the alternate Hulkbuster from Avengers: Infinity War. Now, thanks to a leak from Indonesia, we finally know that this will be the new LEGO Marvel Hulkbuster (76210)

Brickset tells us that a Certified LEGO Store in Indonesia just teased the box image for LEGO Marvel Hulkbuster (76210). Apparently, it’s indeed a new take on the earlier Hulkbuster (76105). Both are based on the add-on armor’s appearance in Avengers: Age of Ultron from 2015. At age 18+, this set is massive at 4,049 pieces and 52cm tall when assembled. Since Infinity Saga is LEGO Marvel’s counterpart to LEGO Star Wars UCS, expect some sweet detail and features. Light bricks for the arc reactor and palm repulsors are just the beginning of it.

Like many huge mechanical LEGO sets, this latest brick iteration of the Hulkbuster comes with a specs plate and a Tony Stark minifig. While the Indonesian LEGO Store keeps mum on further product info, the latest rumors claim a $549.99 set price. The likeliest launch period would be the 2022 holiday season, but we have plenty of time to wait.

LEGO Iron Man Armory (76216) Official Reveal, Coming this June 2022

Just as LEGO looks towards the future with all-new sets, it continues to look back at the past too. Plenty of “new” sets announced by LEGO every year might be remakes of previous ones. How many LEGO Star Wars sets from years ago received a UCS revision already? And for LEGO Marvel, how many times did they reinterpret Tony Stark’s Iron Man armory across different sets? Around 2019-20 we got the Iron Man Hall of Armor (776125) and Iron Man Armory (76167), now both retired. And this 2022 LEGO’s giving that MCU locale yet another spin with the LEGO Iron Man Armory, as reported by Brickset.

Here we go again with a LEGO Marvel Iron Man Armory set, only this time numbered 76216. If you thought the armor slots from previous sets were limited due to being one level, try this version. It has two stacked rows for eight Iron Man armors, plus a workstation, tools, assembly pedestal, and sportscar. This set packs a Tony Stark/Iron Man minifig, accompanied by Pepper Potts, Nick Fury, War Machine, and “IM2” baddie Whiplash. The new Iron Man Armory (76216) is themed to the LEGO Marvel Infinity Saga line for set-piece compatibility. Here’s the official listing:

LEGO Iron Man Armory

Iron Man Armory (76216)

Age 7+ | 496 pieces | 8 minifigures | $89.99 | Coming June 1

76216 alt2

  • Iron Man headquarters – Celebrate Marvel Studios’ Infinity Saga with the LEGO® Marvel Iron Man Armory (76216), packed with authentic details, features and minifigures
  • Marvel characters – Includes 8 minifigures: MK3, MK25 and MK85 Iron Man suits, Tony Stark, Pepper Potts, Nick Fury, War Machine and Whiplash
  • Realistic details – Familiar items from the movies include a sports car with Stark Expo model-map, a robot assistant arm, a work area with tools and loads of authentic accessories

It’s funny that LEGO revealed this set early this May, only to launch it next month.  Still, which LEGO and MCU fan could say no to a new brick-built armor gallery for Tony Stark?

Rumor of New Buildable Iron Man Set for LEGO Marvel Infinity Saga Series Coming Next Year

From something already confirmed, let’s return for a bit to the rumors related to LEGO. With 2021 winding down, speculation turns to what’s coming next year. LEGO Marvel apparently has nothing to worry about in terms of set representation. The MCU continuously releasing movies and Disney+ streaming series guarantees LEGO making more tie-ins. One subtheme slowly coming to prominence is the Infinity Saga, spanning from 2008’s “Iron Man” film to 2019’s “Avengers: Engdame.” Our rumor, gleaned from social media by way of Brick Fanatics, speaks of a buildable figure set celebrating the first MCU hero.

According to lego_club_news on Instagram, LEGO might be rolling out a buildable Iron Man figure for 2022. Specifically, the build depicts the Mark 42 armor used by Tony Stark in 2015’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron.” Lego_club_news even posted details such as the set number (76202) and its $39.99 unit price. If true, this Marvel Infinity War Iron Man buildable set will be the second LEGO released. The previous, LEGO Hero Factory Iron Man (4529) turns 10 years old in 2022. One can’t help but feel this is a milestone rollout with a more-developed new product.

With that, we give the usual disclaimer that this social media post is a rumor and remains so until confirmed. To review, here are the current LEGO Marvel Infinity Saga sets:

  1. Black Panther: Dragon Flyer (76186)
  2. Captain America and Hydra Face-Off (76189),

New LEGO Marvel Bro Thor’s New Asgard (76200) Arriving This Summer

A new LEGO Marvel set is also arriving this summer following the trail of what LEGO has dubbed as its Infinity Saga subtheme. Thanks to Lukas from Stone Wars, we now have our first image of the new LEGO Marvel Bro Thor’s New Asgard (76200).

LEGO Marvel Bro Thor's New Asgard

Shared by an eagle-eyed LEGO fan in Germany, this image was reportedly taken from a physical copy of the German LEGO product catalog, which gives us pretty clear details of what to expect from this next LEGO Marvel offering. This minifigure vignette-styled set replicates one of the lighter moments of MCU’s Endgame where we see a ‘gamer’ version of Thor that Rocket bluntly points out to look like melted ice cream. Thor is joined in by his long-time pals Kork and Miek in a video game session of Fortnite, and some bit of ranting against NoobMaster69. And true to its film counterpart, the set also features a slice of life in Thor’s New Asgard after the cosmic consequences of Thanos’ infamous Infinity War snap. As a fan of these vignettes, I love how this set comes in with plenty of details that reflect the events in the film. We have several pizza boxes lying around, beer kegs, and several random stuff scattered in the room that Thor and the gang hardly care for. Save for the TV set and console controllers of course. The set also comes with a sign that welcomes visitors to New Asgard, similar to what we see from that scene when Bruce Banner (Smart Hulk) and Rocket decide to pay a visit to the God of Thunder.

The LEGO Marvel Bro Thor’s New Asgard (76200) clocks in at 265 pieces and is expected to retail for 29.99 Euros or $30 when it arrives in August. As always, I’ll give you more updates once this set makes its appearance over at LEGO Shop@Home.

LEGO Marvel Summer 2021 Sets Spotted in the UK

It looks like there’s another excited LEGO Store employee that was a bit too eager to put these sets on display. Brickset member Sean Nualart snapped these photos of the much-talked-about LEGO Marvel Summer 2021 that he spotted on display at an undisclosed LEGO Store in the UK. This summer wave of LEGO Marvel offerings features five sets, collectively referred to under the Infinity Saga subtheme. These are just the sets’ respective box arts understandably, but they’re sufficient to provide us a clear idea of what to expect from them. Let’s just hope that LEGO will make the official reveal anytime soon, or by next week at the very most. In the meantime, let’s take a look at these images.

I’ll bet my bricks that the Infinity Gauntlet (76191) will be on top of most AFOLs’ checklist of LEGO Marvel sets this summer. It may not be strictly a wearable type of build (though I wish LEGO gave us that kind of option), but still, it’s a great display set alongside the Iron Man Helmet (76165). And speaking of Iron Man, this brick version of the Iron Monger is really spot on, coming in on a minifigure scale. I love what LEGO did here, with the set’s details and form. It looks like LEGO is getting better and better at designing mech-inspired sets, in my opinion.

As of this posting, these LEGO Marvel Summer 2021 sets are still yet to appear over at LEGO Shop@Home. But given that these sets are all probably waiting in storerooms of LEGO Stores (plus the facts that some employees are already too excited to put them on shelves), then it is most likely that we will get an official listing on LEGO’s shopping portal anytime soon. Special thanks also to Brickset for sharing these images.
