New LEGO Star Wars Trouble on Tatooine (75299) Announced for 2021

It looks like the hit Disney+ series will get another LEGO Star Wars set dedicated to its name. Following the latest episode of This Week in Star Wars over on YouTube, it was revealed that Mando has earned another LEGO set that captures his journey together with the mysterious Child. Check out the details of the LEGO Star Wars Trouble on Tatooine (75299) set as seen in this video.

This latest Mandalorian-inspired LSW set is the 5th under the belt of this fearless minifigure warrior. Coming in at 276 pieces, the LEGO Star Wars Trouble in Tatooine includes minifigure versions of the Mandalorian himself in his shiny, new Beskar armor, a The Child, and a Tusken Raider. The set also features a small desert encampment, a Speeder Bike, and a Tusken plane equipped with a spring-loaded harpoon. It is expected to retail for $29.99 when it arrives in January 2021.

LEGO Star Wars Trouble on Tatooine

For the price of 30 bucks, I have to say that this set is a nice deal in itself. Compared to the pricier LEGO Star Wars The Razor Crest (75292) and LEGO Star Wars The Child (75318), the Trouble in Tatooine (75299) set is a great way to get The Child minifigure without breaking the bank.

As of this posting, LEGO Shop@Home has not yet listed this latest LEGO Star Wars set, but as per the video announcement, we can expect more updates on Monday next week so hopefully, we can get to see further details about this set by then, along side other LEGO Star Wars 2021 sets that we believe are slated to be officially revealed anytime soon.

New LEGO Star Wars The Child (75318) Set Spotted in Luxembourg

Though this piece of news is not entirely new, I’m pretty sure that a lot of LEGO Star Wars fans out there will be looking forward to this. Thanks to an eagle-eyed fan who happened to be at the right place at the right time in a shop somewhere in Luxembourg, we now have our very first image and confirmation of the LEGO Star Wars The Child (75318).

The image, which was shared by a reader of German LEGO fan site StoneWars, shows the box of the brick-built Baby Yoda on display at The Cactus shop. Probably another case of a third-party retailer not being mindful of embargo dates, the LEGO Star Wars The Child (75318) can be seen on display alongside its wiser counterpart, the LEGO Star Wars Yoda (75255).

Based on the listing, we can figure out that the said brick statue of Baby Yoda will be retailing for 99.99 Euros (or probably around $79.99) and will be available on November 1 just in time for the holidays. Plus, the timing couldn’t be better considering that Season Two of the hit Disney+ series The Mandalorian will be arriving by October 30 as well.

Unfortunately, we do not have info as of the moment regarding the piece count on this set but we can surmise that The LEGO Star Wars The Child will stand at 19 centimeters tall or 7.5 inches, and 21 centimeters wide (8.3 inches). It features a tiltable head and left hand, and posable ears. Both of its arms are fixed and this is understandable considering how the designers opted to emphasize the fine details of Baby Yoda’s garb. Its left hand also features the silver orb that he playfully took from The Mandalorian’s ship. The set comes with its identification plate reminiscent of LEGO Star Wars UCS sets, plus a Baby Yoda minifigure found only in the LEGO Star Wars The Razor Crest (75292).

Though I do not find myself liking that brick version of Yoda in set 75225, I have to say that LEGO designers did a great job in rendering his younger kin. I love how its tilting head and movable ears can immediately convey its emotion, which makes the character endearing to any Star Wars fan.

LEGO Star Wars The Razor Crest (75292) Box Art Hints On A Video Game Secret Code

After the welcomed arrival of the LEGO Star Wars 501st Legion Clone Troopers (75280) building set a few days ago, LEGO has thrown in another reveal that might interest you as well. To be precise, it’s not an entirely new reveal such as a new LEGO Star Wars set, but more of how probably things might look like in the near future. If you recall, we were given a glimpse of the LEGO Star Wars The Razor Crest (75292) last February, with official images of this set following later on. And this time around, LEGO Shop@Home was updated once more with additional images of this set showing its respective box art.

The Razor Crest

The LEGO Star Wars The Razor Crest comes in at 1,023 pieces and will retail for $129.99 once it is available on September 1st. Aside from the very first LEGO Star Wars set that will offer an official minifig version of The Child (aka Baby Yoda), it looks like this set will also be instrumental in unlocking a virtual version of this vehicle in the upcoming LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga video game.

The Razor Crest

Though WB Games made it clear that this video game will include all nine films in the Star Wars franchise, it is mum on whether or not it will include materials coming from several spin-off series such as The Clone Wars or even the latest The Mandalorian series. But this piece of info from the LEGO Star Wars The Razor Crest box art shows that this roughneck of a ship will also be available in the LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga video game.

code 75292 alt14

I cannot say for sure if this will mark a new trend of integration among LEGO Star Wars sets and related video games later on. It’s also unclear if a digital brick version of the Razor Crest will be made available in the Skywalker Saga video game as a single playable vehicle, or will it be a part of a larger The Mandalorian DLC later on. With so much material that Disney is throwing into its Star Wars franchise lately including an Obi-Wan Kenobi spin-off, it will be exciting to see what content will future DLCs roll out for this next big LEGO video game.

In the meantime, be sure to check with LEGO Shop@Home if you wish to pre-order the LEGO Star Wars The Razor Crest (75292) ahead of its September 1st release. And while you’re at it, you may also want to add to your cart and pre-order the LEGO BrickHeadz Star Wars The Mandalorian and the Child (75317) slated to be released on August 1.

Additional Images of the LEGO Star Wars The Mandalorian Sets Revealed

LEGO servers have been updated recently to include additional official images of the upcoming LEGO Star Wars The Mandalorian sets including the Razor Crest (75292) and a BrickHeadz mashup of The Mandalorian and the Child (75317). If you recall, they were first unveiled by LEGO just in time for the annual New York Toy Fair held last month.

Aside from the fact that we need to wait a good five months for these sets to be released, we still need to wait a bit more before the second season of the highly popular Disney+ series, The Mandalorian, starts streaming in October. In the meantime, you can already pre-order both of these new LEGO Star Wars The Mandalorian sets, with the Razor Crest retailing for $129.99 and the series’ BrickHeadz counterpart for $19.99. If you wish to be one of the very first LEGO fans to see these sets at your doorway come in August, then be sure to check out the following images below, and visit these LEGO Shop@Home links below.  You may also be interested to know that from March 20 until 29, all of your purchases at LEGO Shop@Home earns you Double VIP points for those sweet rewards waiting for you at VIP Reward Center.

More LEGO Star Wars The Mandalorian Sets Officially Revealed Ahead of 2020 NYTF

LEGO is slowly revealing some of its new sets ahead of this year’s New York Toy Fair which will commence this weekend – and it looks like the Mandalorian and the Child (aka Baby Yoda) is getting an additional LEGO treatment. LEGO Shop@Home has now listed two new LEGO Star Wars the Mandalorian sets, including an earlier revealed BrickHeadz set dedicated to the duo.

Earlier this week, we saw the unintentional listing of Amazon Canada for a LEGO Star Wars BrickHeadz The Mandalorian and the Child (75317), and this time around, LEGO finally confirms this as another entry in the growing number of BrickHeadz sets under the Star Wars theme.

Additionally, in a rather surprisingly welcomed move from LEGO, we can now expect a full LEGO set dedicated to the highly-rated Disney+ series – that includes the official LEGO Baby Yoda minifigure! The LEGO Star Wars  The Razor Crest (75292) is slated to be released in September – just a month early before Season 2 of The Mandalorian series streams on Disney+. For most LEGO fans of the miniseries, the obvious selling point will be the inclusion of the much-hyped Baby Yoda minifig. Strictly speaking, Disney execs and writers are quick to point out that “The Child” is not in any way the toddler representation of the Master Jedi himself, but since fans were so adamant in referring to it as such, then Disney somehow let it slide.

The LEGO Star Wars BrickHeadz The Mandalorian and the Child (75317) comes in at 295 pieces and will retail for $19.99 once it is released on August 1. The LEGO Star Wars The Razor Crest (75292) clocks in at 1,023 pieces with a retail price of $129.99, slated to be released on September 1.

LEGO BrickHeadz Star Wars The Mandalorian and the Child (75317) Coming in August

This is one LEGO BrickHeadz that will take LEGO Star Wars fandom by storm. Promobricks managed to capture this now-deleted post from Amazon Canada that shows the latter listing a LEGO BrickHeadz Star Wars The Mandalorian and the Child (75317) set, together with a glimpse of what to expect from it.

The listing was obviously a bit early since someone from Amazon has to do some damage control. I assume that this set will be officially unveiled sometime during this weekend’s New York Toy Fair, but I guess Amazon got a bit excited so… Well, who wouldn’t especially now that the Child (aka Baby Yoda) now has an official LEGO set just in time to level up the hype for Season 2 of The Mandalorian which will arrive in Disney+ in October. This newest callback to the Star Wars spin-off series is the third set offered under the LEGO Star Wars The Mandalorian subtheme, following the AT-ST Raider (75254) and the Mandalorian Battle Pack (75267).

The LEGO BrickHeadz Star Wars The Mandalorian and the Child (75317) comes in at 295 pieces and will likely retail somewhere between 20 or 25 Euro, with a release date of August 1. Check out the product description below.

The LEGO Star Wars Mandalorian Battle Pack (75267) Is the Perfect Way to Conclude An Action-Packed Season

Disney+ has wrapped up the first season of its hit Star Wars series The Mandalorian, and now is the perfect time to show some LEGO love to the gunslingin’ galactic outcast that we all learned to admire. The show’s second season is still far off, and while we linger on some of the cliffhangers from the previous season, let’s take a look at what could probably be LEGO’s ultimate tribute to the most honorable warrior tribe of the Star Wars galaxy. And if you’re still pondering on whether or not to get the LEGO Star Wars Mandalorian Battle Pack (75267), then read on and take a look at what this latest LEGO Star Wars Battle Pack has to offer.

Since the early release of the Mandalorian Battle Pack (75267) at LEGO Shop@Home’s UK portal a couple of days ago, the highly sought after minifigure pack is now on backorder status. I guess that says more than enough to the popularity of this set which is slated to be offered in the US come January 1st. The set comes in 102 pieces and is expected to retail in the US for 15 bucks.

75267 1

When I first saw this pop up in the LEGO online store, my first reaction was just “wow”. I may not be a hardcore Star Wars fan myself, but seeing the level of love that LEGO designers poured out to this set immediately pulled some heartstrings. The set evoked the same admiration that I felt when I first saw the LEGO Movie 2 Benny’s Space Squad (70841), that it leaves little room for debate on whether or not I’m going to get it.

Mandalorian Battle Pack (75267)

The Mandalorian Battle Pack (75267) features four minifigure characters from the battle-torn warrior tribe and is the second set that is specifically tied-in to the Disney+ series following the LEGO Star Wars AT-ST Raider (75254). In fact, it is the first Battle Pack in the Star Wars theme to receive such a varied treatment. Needless to say, its a huge improvement from what LEGO offered back in 2011 with the LEGO Star Wars The Clone Wars Mandalorian Battle Pack (7914), which featured minifigure characters of the same design. I will even dare say that apart from the Bounty Hunter Speeder Bike Battle Pack (75167), there is no other collection that features such a wide spectrum of characters in a single LEGO Star Wars Battle Pack. Moreover, the unique designs of each of the minifigure on the current iteration not only highlights the thoughtful creative process that went through them but also a careful retelling of the hardships that this battle-weary tribe has to endure.

If there is another thing that endears me to this set is the story that it conveys that superbly coincides with the events that transpired in the current Disney+ series. The designers are sensitive enough to include additional details in the Mandalorian Battle Pack (75267) that ensure the minifigures will be faithful in showing the tribe’s pursuit of establishing their once-proud clan. From the tribe’s battle-scarred armor brought about by their countless skirmishes with the remnants of the fallen empire to their attempts of establishing a name of their own through their customized armors, the varied colors of each minifigure also give a certain distinct personality for these minifigure characters. And if you will look closely, you’ll also notice that none of their individual designs are repeated. From their colors, helmet designs, and even their armors’ knicks and scratches, all of them are unique in their selves. This is what I really love about LEGO – the level of detail and the effort that they will go through in conveying the story behind these characters is really outstanding.

75267 4

If there is one thing that I would like to see improved in this set is the fact the designers opted for stud-shooting blasters instead of the unique weapons that we saw them wield on Episode 3 of the series. I would love to see, for example, several heavy infantry minifigure accessories and that jetpack that the lead character eagerly wanted to have. Though the speeder bike is an above-average build for this type of set, the defense fort may need a bit of improvement. But considering the piece restrictions that the designers need to work with, then I guess its not such a big deal in the long run.

Our Mandalorian hero badly needs that jet pack.

In conclusion, the LEGO Star Wars Mandalorian Battle Pack (75267) is a piece of LEGO Star Wars memorabilia that you certainly want to take hold of. Its current backorder status over at UK LEGO Shop@Home proves how much it is in demand. And with its upcoming North America release on January 1st, you need to be quick in making your purchases. However, you might be interested to know that our official storefront – The Brick Show Shop – is also featuring these LEGO Star Wars warrior minifigs, and much more.
