Thanks for 9 Great Years on Youtube!

Here is our response video and official statement regarding Youtube shutting down our channel.

Thanks to all of our viewers on Youtube for a fun 9 years!

  1. Sorry to hear that, lads. My son enjoyed your reviews over the years, especially when it came up to Xmas and birthdays because it helped him choose what to get. He would look at the reviews over and over again! He now has his own YouTube channel with all sorts of things including LEGO MOC builds and stop motion movies but I think it was inspired by you. It’s a funny world alright. Best of luck in the future. Onwards and upwards!

  2. Onward and upward, guys. I think you’re doing fine, and you do a lot of good work in the AFOL community and LEGO fan community in general. Sucks that your YouTube channel got taken down, but like you said, Jason, it probably was a massive drain on time and effort. You gotta prioritize life, especially when you have four (!!!) kids. LEGO is a source of fun and a medium for imaginative creativity, so just keep that in focus and we’ll all get more out of it. As for the haters — the griping, petty, tear-down suburban babies still living under mommy’s roof and constantly p*ssing in the wind because LEGO doesn’t cater to them exclusively — feh. Get a job, boys. Help some kids explore their potential, ac-cen-tu-ate the positive, find a girl and get livin’. Best of luck, fellas! If you ever need help with whatever it is you do these days, gimme a shout.

  3. Thanks so much for all you have done Jason & Stephen

Really appreciate this message and update.

I have been a follower of your work since around 2011 and always looked forward to your reviews.

You worked super hard and tirelessly for a very long time and your love and enthusiasm for LEGO and the community always shines through and is contagious.

Can appreciate the burn out and good that you can see the positives in this as well as opportunities of which there are many, I’m sure.

I hope you’ll always feel proud of the contribution you have made to the LEGO fan community. It has been epic and will never be forgotten

I hope to see you both doing your thing with passion and enthusiasm somewhere on the internet in the not too distant future.

Cheers and best wishes from Perth, Western Australia.

  4. Thanks for getting me back into LEGO 4 years ago. I’m 40 now!! It’s got me through some tough times.

  5. My son and I were extremely saddened by the news of your channel coming down! It was something we both loved and shared together- looking forward to new reviews during release times. But, hearing your video here makes sense. We both wondered why you weren’t doing reviews anymore- and I can see it. Burnout is terrible and can sometimes take away your love for something. Definitely not worth it if that’s been happening for you guys! Time to move on, enjoy Lego and your family life! (On a side note, I always appreciated the reviews with your family members involved- very relatable). Good luck with everything, Stephen and Jason, and thanks for all the work you did on this channel. It helped my son and I share a love of Lego. We’ll miss it, but hopefully we’ll meet you at conventions!

    Best!
