After 20 years since its last major motion picture, the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers finally receives its much needed rehash. Since its opening last Thursday, the modern retelling (and big budgeted reboot) of the story of five alien-powered teenagers took the world by storm and is now close behind Disney’s live-action film, Beauty and the Beast as the second top grossing film of the week.
To celebrate the film, LEGO builder and child of the 90s ckb ckd came up with his own tribute to the iconic Megazord – in LEGO form. The best part of it is, the build can actually be disassembled and transformed into five distinct Dinozords. It’s very reminiscent of Lendy Tayag’s LEGO Ideas Project – Voltron Defender of the Universe. Hope LEGO will eventually hit a deal with Saban, and consider this as one of its licensed themes, together with the LEGO Ideas Voltron. It will be great to have these two giant mechs stand side-by-side.
